Okay not really a Ghost story but its something that happened to me.
It was my girlfriends (Jayne is her name lol) 18th birthday so I decided to take her to a place called Lumley castle. I got her an expensive 4 poster bed room the full works. Well I already knew the place was apparently haunted by a Woman called Lily, she was murdered in one of the room in the castle (kinda why I chose there I was hoping to see something). Well it was about 1 in the morning (I'll skip the details) but we were going to sleep when we suddenly we hurd a woman moan loudly and sound in serious pain (kinda like being strangled) well I shot out of bed and I hurd it again but it seemed to come from where Jayne was sleeping so she jumped out of bed as well.
Needless to say the noises left as quickly as they came (btw the walls in the castle are very thick so no the noise wasnt comming from another room). Well we decided to stay in the bed for some insane reason but we fell asleep. In the morning I asked one of the Ladies who worked there what room was Lily murdered in she turned around and said room number 46 which was my room(now this was in the dining room and this was one of the waitress' there so she didnt know what room I stayed in). Lets just say the next time I there I will not be staying any where near room 46.
Another Ghostly encounter was with my brother, we live next to a cemerty so we decided to have a go at trying to record a Ghosts voice on my laptop, we set it away at midnight and stayed with it for about 15 mins. We took the laptop back to out house and played the file we turned the volume up really loud. After 14 mins we were convinced we didnt get anything, but as I went to turn off the file a loud male scream came over the speakers. I dont need to say that I jumped a mile high and was scared out of my wits. We deleted the file right away and have never tried it again.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Alternate version:
The woman came back for a trip and was in a local cafe when she met her grandfather. She had a close relation to her grandfather and since they hadn't see eachother for a while, the decide to spend the day together. So they go and have a lot of fun around town. At the end of the day, they come back to the cafe and the grandafther gives the woman a gift. It was a necklace from his long deceased wife. The woman accepts the gift when the grandfather gets up suddenly and says "I really have to leave now. I will miss you." And he runs off. The woman looks for him out in the street and doesn't find him. She calls her mother later to see if she had see her grandfather. her mother says, "That's impossible! He's been dead for a week." When the truth hit the woman, she then realizes completely what had happened. She wonders if it was all a dream or even real. But she looks down in her hands to see the necklace. Her grandfather came back to see her one last time.
It's a truely touching story. There's another variation where she checks her grandfather's apartment and finds that he was dead for a week. In another, it wasn't her grandfather but her father. In another variation, the "parting gift" was a pocket watch. This story has been circulating for a very long time. I think it got it's start in either the 60s or the 50s. I don't exactly remember when.

Well, there's Gager Limestone that's a moments drive from my home. It's an old abondoned Limestone facility that was was constructed in the late 1880s or early 1890s and bottomed out I think in the 70's when it's workforce became unionized.
Unlike some factories in the region it survived the depression. Fragments of facility still stand today with it's unusal decore that isn't typically found on ordinary factory buildings from it's time period. I think that is why many try to classify it as a "castle." There has always been a urban ledgend about it being haunted. The fact the building is abondaned, probally does have some histroy of worker deaths, and has a small cemetery near it is probally why the legend of it being haunted lingers still.
Take a photo tour of the Gager Lime ruins here. https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

As long as we're on the topic of urban legends, I guess I'll tell you this one:
In the States, there was this man who was looking for a new car. Unfortunately, he couldn't find a good one within his price range until he came upon an add in the paper for a really good car that was well within the target price range. Of course, the car would have been very expensive if he attempted to buy it new. So the man went to the seller and bought the car, however, the seller warned the man not to sell the car back. The man shruged his shoulders and left in his new car. the car was awesome! It had everything he could possibly ask for and plus some. He wondered why the seller wanted to have such a low price, let alone sell it. However, as time passed, the weather got warmer and the man decided to turn on the air conditioner. When he did, a horrible smell came out! And because of the warm weather, the car was starting to smell even without the conditioner on! So the man did EVERYTHING to get the car to smell nice again. He tried cleaning it, he tried air fresheners (Vanilla scented of course!), he tried everything he could think of until finally, he decided to head back to the seller and attempt to sell the smelly car back. When he came back to try to talk the seller in to buying back the car, the seller resfused. The man said that he would not leave until the seller bought the car back or at least say why he wouldn't buy it back. Eventually, the seller gave in and said that it was his father's car and that when the father last drove the car, the car stalled out in a rual area and that the father died suddenly of a heart attack in that car. They didn't discover him or the car until three days later. the seller tried getting rid of the smell as best as he could as well as trying really hard to sell that car.
While this story isn't totally true, in theory it could happen. Why? Because it is perfectly LEGAL to sell "death cars" in the States. Actually, death cars are sold in America quite often. What do you think happens when CSI and the Court is done with the death car? They clean it back up and sell it in the market! There's no law saying that they can't do that. So who knows! One of these cars might actually be in your drive way at this very moment! (That is if you bought it used)
Creepy, eh?

My favorite urban legend:
A girl was in her Junior year at a northeastern college. She was a good student, worked hard and studied her butt off, but one weekend she decides to cut loose and hit the clubs.
She had a rather studious roommate as well, one who would constantly stay in the dorm room studying - even on a Saturday night.
Well, the girl was out partying and was about to go hit another bar when she realized she needed to get a little more cash for her "festivities." She returned to her dorm room, kind enough to remember that her roommate would probably be asleep. So, she quietly opened the door and there was her roommate - under the covers on her bed like she usually would be. Well, rather than turn on the lights and possibly wake her up, the girl quietly sneaks to her dresser, gets some money and quietly sneaks back out.
So, she decides to crash at a friend's house after her night of serious partying.
The next morning, she's heading back to her dorm room, excited to tell her friend about the night she had.
However, when she arrives, there are police officers all over the hall and there is police tape on her door.
She questions the officers about what is going on and informs them that the room they're searching is hers.
"You better come and see this," said one officer.
They took her into the room and showed her what had happened. Her roommate had been brutally murdered - there was blood EVERYWHERE.
But what was most chilling was that on a mirror, written in her roommate's blood, were the words: "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights?"
That's my all-time favorite urban legend! It's great, isn't it?!

heres another
(from snopes)
Two roommates remain at their deserted college dormitory over a holiday break. One of the girls goes out on a date that evening, and the other one turns in and goes to bed before her roommate returns. Later that night the sleeping girl is awakened by gurgling and scratching noises coming from outside the hallway door. Frightened, she locks the door and cowers inside the room until morning. When the girl finally opens the door and ventures outside, she discovers the bloody corpse of her roommate in the hallway. The murdered girl's throat had been slit, and she had bled to death in the hallway while clawing at the door.
The
"love bug" (also known as the honeymoon fly, telephone bug, double-headed bug, united bug, and March fly) is a The tourist who overstayed his welcome nuisance any Florida motorist is unhappily more than passingly familiar with. Though these bugs neither bite nor sting, at certain times of the year their sheer numbers transform these innocuous insects into airborne hordes seemingly determined to devil anyone fool enough to take to the road. The adults splatter on windshields, lights, grills, and radiators of motor vehicles, and their dried remains are hard to remove. Suicidal pairs of love bugs have been known to cause overheating of motors when large numbers of them are drawn into the cooling systems of liquid-cooled engines. Unlike other bugs, something particular to them adversely affects the paint jobs on cars, pitting and etching the paint if their mortal remains are left on a vehicle for more than 48 hours.
Every May and September these ***-crazed critters become an annoyance bordering on intolerable as the air teems with mating pairs. But the "love bugs" haven't always been part of the Floridian landscape, thus we've seen an abundance of "mad scientist" stories about how the state came to be infested with them. (Love bugs are not solely a Floridian plague; they range throughout the Gulf states and into Mexico and Central America, as well as up into Georgia and South Carolina. But they seem particularly enamored of Florida.)
Truth is, Mother Nature is far more to be feared than any mad scientist and is far more capricious. In this case, she inspired some of her children to migrate to a new area, and in doing so prompted the creation of a number of rumors which attempt to explain why these critters came to take up residence in places where they weren't found before.
Love bugs are not the result of a genetic cloning experiment gone wrong, nor were they unwittingly loosed from a research facility charged with studying exotic insects. They also weren't bio-engineered as a natural solution to the mosquito problem. (Love bugs do not eat mosquitos: the adults do not eat at all, and larvae feed on decaying plant material.) These overly amorous critters are native to Central America; the best guess as to how they came to these United States places them as undiscovered stowaways who arrived by ship in Galveston or New Orleans around 1920. They migrated into Florida in 1947 from Louisiana, looked around, liked what they saw, and decided to stay. Their natural capacity for reproduction took care of the rest.
ok now this one scare me
(ALOT)
If you go into the bathroom and look into the mirror with the lights off and the room completely black, and then say 'Bloody Mary' thirteen times, a woman will appear and scratch your face up/off.
I was told that if you said "Hell Mary" seven times in front of a mirror in a dark room, you would see Satan's image in the mirror. The story was embellished further by the teller, who claimed that after three "Hell Mary", the mirror turned red, and that after five an unclear face appeared.
Here's how I always heard the story. You go into a room with a mirror and turn all the lights off (this works well in a bathroom). You begin, in a whisper, to chant "bloody mary. bloody mary, Bloody Mary", as you continue to chant your voice s

Yes. They had a documentary on this story one time and it turned out in the end that it is indeed a true story.
There is another story which was also confirmed to be true. This story was about twins who were also psychic. Matter of fact, this ability managed to save one of the twin's lives! There was also a documentary on this story too. Also confirmed to be true.
The interesting thing about urban legends is that you have no idea which ones are true. Like the legend that if you crack your knuckles, you'll get arthritis. (That's not true either. Cracking your knuckles will only weaken your grip. It does NOT cause arthritis.)
