Hmmm - 80's movies...

You know what my FAVORITE 80's film is?

Come on - it should not be hard to figure this one out!

Yep - it's !

Such an awesome film - TRON!

Video games were a booming industry. Home computers were becoming more affordable and widespread. And here's this film that taps in to both - video games AND computing! And it did it in such a cool and fantastic way... well, I don't think I need to explain any more. We're ALL here because of this awesome film that came out of the 80's.

TRON

TRON Is a very important movie in the field of the graphical design, is a school for the people who wants to learn to design conceptual ideas.

In the schools of graphical design of my country, the teachers are showing TRON to extend the vision of the students as designers.

It is a movie with the visual only offer and a history with many inovations between the films that Disney present.

Yeah... I mean I think so.

There must have been. They had to fill the theatrical void after TRON with something, right?

Yeah - The Empire Strikes Back ROCKED!

That was a VERY cool film.

To this date, my favorite Star Wars battle scene EVER is still the battle that took place on Hoth, early on in the film. The visuals of the snow speeders taking on those enormous imperial walkers was just too cool! Yes, that is my favorite Star Wars battle scene EVER. It totally blew me away as a kid when I saw that!

I had (and still have) a toy snow speeder and imperial walker. Though the AT-AT walker was not even close to scale as it's film version, it was probably one of my favorite childhood toys. I still have it today and it sits in the closet right behind me as I type. Unfortunately I do not have anywhere to display it. As a kid, I had a Hoth battle scene set up in my bedroom. I used a couple of Hoth play sets (imperial and rebel versions), several action figures, fake snow ground, and the imperial walker set up attacking the rebels, with a snow speeder on a pedestal facing the AT-AT. I only WISH I had a photo of that awesome play set up I once had. DAMN! Why didn't I ever take a picture of that? Grrrr! I still remember dismantling it hastily when I started getting in to girls and was going to have one over for the first time. Great memories though!

I personally liked the teddy bears in the Return of the Jedi. I think George Lucas should make more movies with Teddy Bears!

Well, two of the best movies ever made came from the 80's

Tron
and
Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

The best movies have come from the 80's, IMHO.

Including....

* The aforementioned Empire.
* Star Trek : The Wrath Of Kahn
* Aliens
* Back To The Future
* Blade Runner
* Time Bandits
* Dreamscape
* The Dead Zone
* The Man With Two Brains
* Dune
* Beetlejuice

I really could go on forever. No decade since has really captured my imagination quite like that one.....

Why do I have an image of Alex from A Clockwork Orange being strapped in a chair with his eyes wedged open being forced to watch something totally hideous and inhumane?
