On imdb.com, they have a pretty healthy "goofs" section for Tron. I decided to check some of them out on the 20th anniversary DVD... here's what I found...
Boom mike visible: When the three main characters are talking on the arcade floor, Jeff Bridges bumps his arm on the mike.
I can't see it. I looked when they're talking on the floor when Flynn says "Nothing classes up the joint like a clean cut young couple." Anyone know where this mike is?
Revealing mistakes: When Crom is being led in for the first time, keep your eye on the background - just as he stops the lines in the background turn a corner and go away from the camera. You can see the wobble of what is apparently tape on a backdrop, not a computer generated background after all.
Again, can't see it. Did they clean these things up for the DVD edition?
Crew or equipment visible: When Flynn runs through the computer halls shortly before he gets scanned in the computer, you see a crew member sitting behind a column and several others reflected in the glass on the same column.
OK.. this one I think I see...
Revealing mistakes: When Tron leaves his cubicle to see Dillinger (after he finds the Tron program unavailable)........
Hehhe...a mistake in the mistakes section? It should be "Alan".
Continuity: When Flynn is scanned into the computer he is wearing Adidas trainers. In all scenes prior to the he is wearing Nike trainers.
This is because it was a stand in, right Dave? You posted that pic not to long ago telling us it wasn't Jeff Bridges in that shot.
Continuity: Yori's headgear changes to a male's helmet while on the Solar Sailer, and back to a female's covering when she is off the Sailer.
This makes perfect sense to me. I don't see it as a goof at all.
Continuity: When Sark is being punished for the first time by Master Control Program by taking away his computing cycles, he bends backwards and his hands detach from the two columns they were placed on. In the next shot they are back in place, firmly gripping the controls at the top.
Yeah.... hehhehe...
Revealing mistakes: In Flynn's Arcade, a couple of kids are "playing" pinball machines that aren't switched on (visible at the top left of the screen in the overhead shots).
Man... they sure are picky. I can see this, but the machines just look dark to me, and not flashing. Anyone think they're actually off?
Continuity: SPOILER: The readout on Dillinger's desk/computer showing that he stole the videogame programs from Flynn changes between shots. In the close-up of the screen, the readout is identical to Flynn's printout. In the wider shot, it is a more complex, database-like list. (see also Trivia)
Again, this one is dubious. Who's to say the desk didn't just spit out more data in the time span between shots.....

The trivia section is pretty neat too. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest checking it out...

I thought the tidbit about "Yori" showing up in the orange screen was pretty cool. I don't think I ever recognized that. And I call myself a Tron fan!? *tsk*

For the very first one when you mentioned the MIC in Flynn's arcade. It was visible in the earlier edition of Tron on DVD and On Tape as well. I remember seeing on both of those. On the Newer one. they may have actually been able to cover that up a little bit more. And I think on the arcade machines being turned off. I think that they were on. And the lights were not bright enough to be seen when you had seen it. It happens from time to time like that. I had seen some older machines where they have the wheel numbers there and the lights were just a dim yellowish colour and not that nice bright white colour that we are used to seeing in the arcade pinball games.

I was hunting around for her name. I was like "yori.... yori.... damn it! Where the hell is her name?!" Now I see it. There. A moment of idiot mode.

They missed one. In the Arcade as Flynn is walking and talking with Alan and Lora there is a boom mike visible in the lower portion of the scene on the VHS versions. It was fixed in the DVD. I believe it's caused by the cropping of the scene.
In the widescreen format there is probably a safe zone in which the mike can intrude, but when they redo the film for standard video there are certain areas where the mike might be over the line and appear. Just a guess based on a few things I have heard about film.
As for the shoes, I would say the theory about the stand-in's shoes is probably correct! Good eye.

Hold one nano there! K. Flynn? M. Dillenger? Are they refering to most of the characters in the movie on a last name basis? Like they do in manga? This just gets more interesting....

It's visible on the original letterboxed DVD as well. |

IIRC, Cindy Morgan was having an allergic reaction to the glue used to keep the skullcap on her head and grabbed a helmet for that scene.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion |

I've got one.
When Flynn is standing on Srak's Carrier, looking out, pointing and saying "The MCP, the heart of the whole system" has anyone noticed that his tunic is the wrong way around? I've got the kodalith cel for this scene and you'll see that it was filmed the right way around and then flipped when the movie was cut together.
Look at the cel here, you'll see what I mean:

One I noticed was just before Flynn was digitized when he was talking to the MCP. What the MCP says is displayed on the screen first. When he is interupted in the middle of a sentence by Flynn, there's a - at the point where he is interrupted. This brings up the question of how the MCP knew what was going to happen a few seconds before it did.

I always took that to be a reaction by the MCP to what Flynn was doing on the computer. Of course text will display a lot quicker than speech will sound... so it was a matter of the speech catching up with the text. Seems perfectly acceptable to me and not a goof at all.

Conduit,
I think he was trying to access a certain program or gain entry to a certain area. And knew the command and passwords to get into it. SO I think the MCP as trying to stop hhim just before he finised entering the command and hitting the carriage return. (A really old computer folgie term. I think dave will chuckle a bit in hearing that.)
giggling.

If I remember right, Flynn started making the MCP compute unsolvable problems in the middle of the MCP's speech. The entire thing was displayed before the MCP started saying it.

I have seen all these goofs on the video, but the boom mike and when Crom turns the corner are not visible on the DVD.
Also not mentioned is when Tron, Flynn and Ram get beamed into the Lightcycle grid and just before the lightcycles appear infront of them a piece of one of the characters legs is missing (cant remember which character). The piece missing is in the shape of the back of the lightcycle. This piece missing appears about 2 frames before the lightcycle appears.

I know what your talking about there for the missing character legs. I think it was the small stand or something that they had used for positioning themselves for the lightcycle surrounding them when it rezzed in.
