Todd

In my graphic design class we're learning the Freehand program and are using the labs Wacom tablets. I finished my assignment and doodled some random stuff for fun... All of a sudden the lab room shook, lights flashed, the sun became eclipsed! Students fled the lab as I sat frozen in terror in my little swivel chair! Then out of nowhere, a huge Technicolor lighting bolt with the thunder sound of a duck struck the Mac I was using... I was knocked out! When I awoke, my mac had this image on it...

Okay, so that first half of the event didn't happen, but it makes for a neat intro. Was drawing random stuff in Freehand and some how came up with that image.

Wow!

LMAO!!!

Man - I wish you could have seen me here looking at that for the first time! Totally unexpected and I had this moment of silence followed by hysterical laughter!

My wife is watching TV in the other room - she thinks I'm a nut sitting here and just laughing for no reason all of a sudden (because she can't see what I was looking at). Oh man! Ok, she's right, I am a nut, but with good reason to bust out this time!

That's great, Sketch!

What can I say - you nailed me in that! Excellent!

Um...

Yeah - that's worth at least a few build points!

Oh man - I can't stop grinning!

That's SO going on my cubicle wall at work tomorrow!

Glade you got a kick out of it. It started out I just drew a cartoonish version of my character then moved on to another sketch. From there I don't know if it was the radiation exposure from those Macs, but some how some way that crazy image of you poped into my mind and I couldn't resist drawing it.

Perfect explanation: I'm actual viral and have become really contagious! So now Sketch is slowly becoming as crazy as me and his next project is going to be.... A DEATH RAY!

Today at work, I printed out the Todd sketch on 11x17 paper, and stuck it up on my wall next to my Simpsons calendar. It was a hit with everyone who saw it! Funny thing is I didn't have to explain much for non Sector-Heads at work to get it... wait a minute - is that a good thing?

I also showed some of the robot artwork on your website to another artistically inclined co-worker, Sketch. He was impressed with what he saw.

Hmmm - it sounds like Mac-radiation does wonders for the creative process

Well, that means either the work is very translatable... or that you've really made yourself known with Tron.

I showed him your site briefly at work yesterday, and we cycled through some of your artwork - mostly the robot images. He was impressed with your style and thought the images were great. I don't remember him making any remark about any one in particular, just that the images were impressive and very well done.

Heya, boyo! Thanks for the drink!

Life has been SOOooOOooOOoo busy for me. Keeping me away from a lot of my old online haunts. But 'tis so fun to check in! A ton has changed, you're right.

But some things don't change. Shall I derezz you now, or after I finish my drink?

I hear ya on the busy thing! My life gets like that frequently these days. Keeps me from the things I enjoy as well... though I always seem to squeeze in some Sector time, even if only in moderation at times.

After the drink will be good for me.

....

Er, I mean hey! I'm not THAT easy...

Though... the straight jack Sketch rezzed in on me does make blocking disc attacks a bit tricky...
