Yes, scattered pictures, of the smiles we left behind I'm a music dork. I have so many lines from songs locked away in my brain it's not even funny.
I love that song, too. Just heard it the other day and thought, dang, she has a good voice and some good songs from yester-year.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Hey, nice job on the 3D, Todd!
My eyes didn't hurt at all looking at the images. In fact, once I 'locked on' to the center image I relaxed and the image sharpened. Even if I blinked I wouldn't lose the 3D center image. I only lost it when I wanted to.
Todd, my favorite image of yours is the one with the female program.
Harpo, my favorite image of yours is the one with the red doorway at the end of the hall.
Both of those seem to have the best 3D effect for me.

Thanks!
But... your eyes didn't hurt at all?
I was checking out the images in this thread again at work today and after cycling through all of mine and Harpo989's again, even for just a short time on each, my eyes were sore again - ouch!
I'm glad you like them though. You should make some of your own sometime. It's a little tricky to get the hang of at first, but not too hard to do.
I LOVE (true) 3D stuff!

Eyes don't hurt here either. It's just as MutoidMan put it.
Now I want to see Mercury in 3D. She's my daughters favorite so now I'm looking for her action figure. No luck yet, but I think Toy's R Us still has them.

All you have to do is just cross your eyes a little bit, and move your head back about 18 to 24 inches from the screen to get the two middle images to line up, and then just relax. The center 3D image will come into sharp focus, and your eyes shouldn't hurt. If you cross your eyes too hard and stay too close to the screen, then your eyes will hurt.
You will lose the 3D effect if you turn you head left or right, or if you tilt your head left or right. Slowly nodding up and down should not cause you to lose the image.
This is what works for me, anyway, and my eyes don't hurt at all.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online "We are, after all, not God." - Cmdr. J. J. Adams "C is for cookie. Hey - cool idea Harpo989!
Damn - now where are my old-school 3D glasses?
My eyes don't hurt when I use those.
I'm going to have to find those things soon.
No self-respecting sci-fi fan should be without a proper pair of red/blue 3D glasses!

Todd, great work.
I love stereo images ! I've been focussing like that for years, you can get image viewers. Exactly same principle used in the old ViewMaster handhelds. I know there is a Tron movie slide pack for the viewmaster .. (wishes I had looked after my toys now)
Some great screenshots ... I've started to play the game again, so now i'm going to take some time to explore the scenery and bring home a couple of snappies from the other side of the screen
It never occurred to me to take shots of computer games heh heh .. nice thinking.
I've got a 3D camera which I might have to use to take some Tron like pics now
cheers !

I got my anaglyph (red/blue) specs out of my office and checked it out. The quality is no way near the parallel viewing images, especially since you loose true colour.
I prefer going gooogleyed and entering 3-D land for real
Not sure if the right hues were used, there are some anaglyph converted programs available that will take a stereo pair and convert it for you. Not sure what was used to create it .. Ket |

I know there are 3D stereo image viewers out there, but I've never really spent any time looking for them. I might have to do that some time though. I LOVE the true 3D effect of stereo images. I think it would be cool to take more 3D pictures of every-day things too and see them in 3D. I'm glad you enjoyed the 3D TRON 2.0 images.

No - I haven't yet. I still don't know where my 3D specs are. They're actually the official 3D FREDDY-VISION glasses from the theatrical release of the film "Freddy's Dead". Nice gimmick for the film, but that was about all that was good about that particular film (the 3D ending).
Anyway, I'd like to check our your red/blue image when I find those things. I know the color (original game color) will not be there, but I'm sure I'll get the 3D effect without the painful aftereffects of crossing my eyes.

Thanks, but as much as I'd like to take credit for that trick, I cannot. I learned that from some website a few years ago. I can't remember what the subject of it was, something about scientific discovery, but they had some 3D images of things and the cross-eyed option was available for anyone who didn't have the special goggles. I thought it was cool how the 3D effect could be achieved so easily like that, without any special equipment.
foilism Wrote:cor i like them so much my head hurts, ouchy!! |
Yeah - I'd try to limit how long you actually keep your eyes crossed. It can be painful!
Actually, the further back you view the images, the less you'll have to cross your eyes to see them in 3D. BUT the further back you get, it becomes more difficult to view them clearly, as the eyes won't want to focus as clear while crossed and too far away.

Todd --- i'm dead into 3d modelling and art -- do you reakon if i had a model, rendered it and then panned the camera over slighty, re-rendered and sat the pics next to each other i could get the same effect??? if so, i'll post the results!!

Yes, absolutely!
But there is more to it than that.
Head back to the first page of this thread where I'm explaining to harpo989 just how it's done. I made 4 points about how to get the effect right. The points I made were centered around grabbing the images from the game, but the basic premise of what I'm saying applies to rendering 3D images on your own too.
It's not just panning the camera, you have to maintain a specific and single focal point in both renderings for it to work. Remember, our eyes are both looking at the same point, thought they are a couple of inches apart (the eyes, not the point).
I hope this helps
And I'm looking forward to your true 3D renderings!
