with Rain!!!
It's raining like it's the end of the freaking world here in LA. We are not used to this kind of rain. Heavy, constant and lots of lightning and thunder.
I am sitting in my office right now. A big warehouse type of building, and all I hear outside is BOOOMMM!!! There is a constant pounding of drops on the roof and it's loud despit being 30 feet above my head and separated by two ceilings. That's some serious rain for LA!
Now I have to drive home in it! YUCK! DaveTRON

I've heard about that from my friends who live in California.
I can't believe it's raining over there like that. o_o
Stay safe, Dave.

I'm sorry, but we get MANY a day like that over here in upstate NY! I have to laugh when it freaks out other people. I can understand though, if you're not used to it and all. Driving in wicked, heavy rain and thunder/lightening on top of that is not fun, but nothing new around here.
Of course, this time of year, we get slammed with SNOW! Damn SNOW! Always snow. Snow, snow, and MORE snow. Now THAT I could really do without. NO ONE enjoys driving in the snow and slush and ice. One thing is for sure though - our cars rust quickly (because they salt the roads to melt the snow), and we're pretty damn good drivers because of all we have to put up with. Not exactly polite drivers, but generally pretty good drivers

Thread title made me think of this... anyway.
Man... We get bad rain down here, but not that horrible. (usually)
Gotta driving in rain. But (as Todd mentioned) it's better than snow. (which we actually got, even though I'm in south Texas... odd, no?)

Yeah, I know we are sissies out here, but that's sort of my point. Californian idiots do one of two things when it rains. 1. They drive faster and act like bigger morons, or 2. they start to drive like they are 200 years old. Inevitably, those two types collide and prevent those of us who just want to get home from getting home.

Why does that remind me of some of the french Canadians here when it snows during the winter time over here and all the for black ice that we also get up over here.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

LOL, no worries Dave. I hate lightning with a passion when it's overhead with the loud booms. And then I read stats about how it kills more people per year than tornadoes or hurricanes and precautions to take, and I get freaked out more. It's pretty to watch, though. One of these days maybe I'll muster the courage to sit on the deck and watch it during a powerful storm. In the meantime, I'll stay freaked out when it's severe.
Here are some helpful lightning pages for y'all to peruse, from the NOAA website. Some pretty good info in here, including good safety tips:

That "end" animation link was awesome, harpo989!
Today in the upstate NY area, it rained. It was trying to snow, but it was above freezing so all we got was rain and drizzle mixed with occassional snow-ish rain. Yesterday it snowed and made driving conditions HORRIBLE. Tomorrow it will probably snow again. Blah.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Yep, me watched it also. Well worth the wait
But what about the senarios with the frozen methane in the oceans and places? If the water changes by the slightess amount, that melts and releases the methane into the air, turning the Earth into more of a green house Not good you think?
