If you're wondering why I haven't played again, it is because I hurt my wrist during that game.

Apparently, wrist injuries take a long time to heal.

If your light cycle patterns start the same, then you have about a second to figure out which pattern they are on. If not, then you will have to know which one you are doing.
There are five light cycle / tank patterns which will repeat in sequence. There are six cone / grid bug patterns which also repeat in sequence. This give 30 unique combinations of patterns to be aware of.

When I play, I will always have a starting pattern for each level that will work even if I don't know which sequence it is.

After a while, it will be easy to remember the sequences.
