Hello Guys,
I was watching a Harry Potter movie the other day and it reminded me of something. It took me a few days to place my finger on it but I finally remembered what it was. It was an old PC game called Socery 101. I think it might have even had a sequel called Socery 201. Anyone here remember those games. I took a stab at them when they were new and really enjoyed them but I don't think I ever finished them. I did a quick scan on the internet and found a few references to the name so I know I have that much correct. I'd like to try and track them down again. If anyone could point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

The movie didn't do justice to the books. A change in direction and stuff really didn't solve anything. It really comes down to poor actor choice and bad rendering. There were points in time when the lighting in the rendered scenes didn't match up.
But please elaborate on you Sorcery game.

Well it turns out I did have the name wrong. It's real name is Spellcasting 101.

I probably haven't play this game in 13 years. I'll try down loading it one of these days and see if I can get it to run. I think I may be remebering this as a better game then it was.

Just in case you're interested: Joanna, as is JK's first name went to an Edinburgh University writing class with me many years ago. She was a single mother then, and wrote about Hatty Potter over a coffee in the Elephant House coffee shop on George IV Bridge in Edinburgh. She was a great laugh, and, out of all the people in the class, we were the two whose stories no-one seemed to like. Well, in the end they liked her's. Me? I'm writing Sir Clive Sinclair's biography and Franz Ferdinand's.
