Very cool!
I know something more about that chair that you might not know.
There used to be a display in the Disney Archives of one of Walt Disney's old desks, and that was the chair in front of the desk.
I was told that it was Walt's desk and chair from the original Disney Brothers Studio in Hollywood.
I cannot confirm it 100%, but I would know that chair anywhere, and it was told to me by someone who should know.

Being an animator, this is very cool news indeed!
TRON is the reason I got into computer animation in the first place, but since then, I've become a character animator and who more responsible for ushering character animation to such a true art form than Walt?
Now I'll have to put the chair under a big glass dome! :-b

There used to be a really good pic of Flynn at his computer desk in the gallery section of this site.
It's from the sceen where he is hacking into the Encom system with Clu. Does anyone have the pic archived off somewhere?

If I could spare the money I'd grab it because I am good friends with a master carpenter & woodworker - the guy is an old-world artist & can do metal working as well - who could easily restore it to like-new condition. I think I remember seeing this a few years back on Ebay. If I remember correctly I snagged the photo of it and put it in the image gallery here.
