I think I found the seed that grew into TRON Sector.
I was doing a little search on TRON today and found this link:
http://www.moongates.com/Tron/Archive.htm
It is an old Archives links from Auric's Ultima site on Moongates.com. I think this may actually be the first incarnation of our beloved TRON Sector. DaveTRON

Yes - it is VERY slow and timed out on me several times before I could get it to load. Actually, the main page ("welcome" I believe) would not load, period. But with the links on the side, I could navigate around a little... VERY slow though.
Looking at the "Digital Image Sector" seems to have tripped some old dormant synaptic circuits of mine. I think I actually visited this site (old one) a long time ago - a few years ago or so. I remember looking up some TRON photos one time and came across a set up that looks (according to memory) JUST like what I saw there! Only I think it was much faster back then
Great find, DaveTRON - and thanks for sharing, Auric

Looks like what I found was just a little piece of this old site that Auric posted. Kinda neat to see the beginnings.

That's cool. You can even go in and see the forums back then but it won't let you bring up the individual posts.

Thing is if you want to read the posts they are still here. See that one about Syd Mead? You can read it here:

I'd never seen one of these before. You never know what you'll learn about at this place.
Thanks,
Carl

We'll I was at WalMart this morning getting the Boy's Easter gifts and I ended up spotting this and got it for myself.
I'm not up on MegaMan but I recognized the car as soon as I saw it. I think it was the first time I'd seen it in person. I like the black with orange windows. I wish it had a TRON logo or a light cycle on the side... now that would have been cool.
Anyone else looking for this? I saw several at my local WalMart.
Enjoy,
Carl
P.S. This was also my first use of the search function here at TRON-Sector. Thanks Auric.

Oh how cool. I am going to go look for it. Does it have Sid's name anywhere on the box?

I just scanned the box and I don't see it anywhere. For those of you looking I found it in a two car set that was priced at $2.94. Here is what to look for.
Enjoy,
Carl
