WOW,

After seeing the pilot episode for the new series, I didn't think they'd make any more.

Call me old fashioned, but I like the original cylons better. They could have made them more "21st century" instead of making them "human clones".

Oh well, I'll check it out when it get's here.

Thanx for the info.

At first I didn't like the new version, either. But after watching it a couple of times, I changed my mind. It's actually quite good if you're willing to appreciate it for what it is, instead of what it's supposed to be.

Yeah, it's amazing that the UK is getting it first. But that was part of the deal, for Sky One's financing contribution. Lucky sods.

But I'll be watching the episodes soon enough, anyway. Muahahaha!

Man, I cannot believe they're pouring more money into this garbage.

The "reimagining" sucks, period. I've already gone into why it sucks in an old thread.

Definitely a show I will not be watching.

This is BGINO, Battlestar Galactica in Name Only.

I grew up with the original and I HATE the bastardization of the mythos for this "hip reimagining" that was TOTALLY unnecessary, visually boring and slow as the day is long.

The only saving grace was the great Edward James Olmos as Adama. But even he couldn't save this trainwreck.

Give me the original series (thankfully remastered on DVD) and I'm a happy camper.

I can't believe Sci-Fi is so desperate for material that they are continuing this terrible idea.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Sci-Fi could've put the money into another season of Farscape, but oh no, they had to cancel that fantastic show to produce crud like the reimagined BSG.

I avoided this new version like so many others. I thin I will have to watch it when the finally reshow it to see if I hate it or not? I love the original, I wish they would add to that mythos and not redo it.

The show I wish they'd redo and make cooler than it was is Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. The disco version with Gil Gerard had cool elements, but sucked ass mostly where it counts, in the stories. The disco clothing and vision-of-the-future disco lifestyle made me hope the world would end too, although Erin Grey really filled out her uniform well.

All I'm going to add is: for those that haven't seen it yet, don't trash it until you've seen the new version. Then decide whether you like it or not.

I just think of the old and new versions as totally separate things. And I happen to like both.

A new Buck Rogers show would be cool. Too bad Erin Grey won't be around any more, though. Or Pamela Hensley.

Well, all I can say is that if you like the new "GINO", that's cool. We all have different tastes and that's the beauty of a free world!

But it's DEFINITELY not for me! I sat through that mini-series hoping for something, ANYTHING to happen, but when it did all I gave it was a resounding "Meh".

I saw the new Galactica. Have mixed feelings about it. Some things I liked, and some things I didn't. I thought the new cyclon design was really nice, but they don't do anything on screen. I wanted to see them blast some Colonial kneecaps off. The mew old styled Colonial Vipers are nice and the way they can manuver in Zero-Gravity makes them worthy as a space fighter. The concept and thought put into the manuvering didn't take away from the Viper design I thought. Aside from that alot of the other design elements looked too Star Trekish in their presentation. They really could of based more of the deisigns on the show that try to go a different route. Some designs look like they were trying way too hard to look new and cool. *Shrugs*

I like my cylons cold, heartless, and chrome platted.

The Buck Rogers in the 25th Century complete series comes out on DVD on November 16th!

YES!!! I have been waiting for this one for ages! (Honestly, I could do without the second season, but the first season is great.)

It shall be mine, I tell you! Mine, all mine!!! Muhahahaha!!!

That's one I'll have to think about. I loved that series as a kid. It's a little harder to sit through now.

Another series that was out around that time that I'd love to see again is Logan's Run. Unlike Buck Rogers I haven't seen it in reruns since then so I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy it now.

Anyone remember Salvage 1? I loved it too at the time.
