Well written, constructive criticism is welcomed. It's the bashing for the sake of bashing that isn't. But let's not dwell on that.

First, it's too early to give up on it.
I haven't given up . . . if that's how I came across, then that wasn't intended. I was just expecting a little more of a turnout already, at this point. I didn't realize registering on a message board was going to kill someone from the effort.

Second, if you want people to do something to support a cause you have to make both the cause and the thing to do to support it as visible, accessible, and as easy to do as possible.
It's something I'm taking into consideration. The problem is how to moderate it if it's done in a more open fashion.

Finally, you should repeatedly advertise the hell out of the petition including on other general gaming websites and forums.
I've been working on that. Trying to think of some good places to spread the word. Already did so on IGN and Gamespot.

Regading the viability of the expansion pack, I think one of two things is going to happen when the XBOX version of the game is released. Either the Tron PC community will stage a revolt when they see what the XBOX players have gotten and demand an upgrade for the PC version, or they will simply buy an XBOX and the XBOX version and abandon the PC game. I would rather see the former than the latter of course, and if it happens, I hope that BVG gives us what we want.
I agree with that prediction. I expect that when the Xbox version is released, we'll suddenly see a lot more discussion on this subject. Right now it's "out of sight, out of mind".

Thanks Darksaber.

I know it sounds lazy, but it's human nature. I'm as guilty as anyone else on some things. I find that people will click on a poll button a lot more readily than signing up for an account, checking their email to activate the account, logging into the forum, customizing their account information, finding the thread, reading it, writing a post, posting it, proof-reading it for mistakes, editing it to correct any mistakes, etc. Yes, it's alot of bother to some, so make it easier. I have found that polls are just as effective since only one submission per account, and many more people will register a vote than post in the poll's thread.

Blues News and Gamespy. Change the petition to a thread with a poll, and then advertise it on those two sites by submitting it as a news item.

Good news! The requirement that you be a member, in order to read messages on PGB, has been lifted. So now you can read the petition without having to become a member there. You can decide whether you want to sign it, without joining up.

So if you didn't want to become a member just to read the petition, now you don't have to any more. But you still need to join, in order to sign it.

Here's the link again, to the petition thread on PGB:

o.k. guys, finally the site is stable again and I want to get this petition going again. Unfortunately when the site crashed we lost all the petitions about two months ago. Regardless of what happens with the game, lets give our props to it one last time. Check out the forums on www.patchgonebad.com in the Tron 2.0 section.

Thanks,
