I must admit I'm a bit surprised, considering how long you've been here, the participation you've had here, your camaraderie... and not to mention your love of Tron.
It seems you wrote a while back about some 'new goals' or 'new realizations' that you had in your life with regards to Tron a while back... (I know I'm misquoting, but that's the feeling I got.) I think it might've been around the time you were getting rid of some of your Tron belongings. I suspect this 'signing off' might be related to that realization, but not sure.
Whatever be the full reason, good luck in your journeys, m'friend! Thanks for the Tron puzzles I bought from you, and all the Tron information you've shared with us.
Sometimes things in life change. Sometimes things don't always mean the same thing to us as they once did. I can understand that.
Good luck in all your future endeavors, Dave! Perhaps one of these days I'll finally land a job at Disney and we'll have a chance to meet. (I'm not holding my breath, though)  LOL

Wow, I'm really surprised and sorry to hear that you won't be around as much, DaveTRON. I won't pry, and I'm sure you have your reasons.
I know we haven't always been on the best of terms, but I for one will miss your presence here. It was great to see someone like yourself who has such fantastic enthusiasm for  , and who helped give life to the  game.
Let's hope this isn't really the End of Line for you . . .

We'll all miss you davetron. It'll never be the same without you. And yes reallife does through a curveball at everyone from time to time. I hope you will come back from time to time and check in with us. And let us know how things are going with you. May your future endevours be prosperopus for you. Your favorite tron chair will be kept warm for you when you come back. (sounds like the old kids show the giant there with the diraffe and that bird there.) Take care ya hear davetron.

I didn't even notice the "END OF LINE" announcement last night...
I discovered it first thing this morning, after getting to work early and checking in.
Wow. That was really unexpected, and I was disappointed to read that you've decided to "officially" leave The Sector.
I read your announcement a few times, and perhaps between the lines lies the reason, or at least the "straw" that pushed you to make such a final-sounding decision.
There are so many possibilities and subtle reasons you may have for leaving. Without being able to fill in the blanks fully - I felt like I could almost call out the "straw", and I was tempted to e-mail you from work today asking if what I suspect may be true.
BUT, it's really none of my business.
People come and go - here and in any message forum. But here - you seemed more like an anchor of the site, and not simply another person who wandered in, hung out for a few months, shared some laughs, and then quietly went on his way.
I'm saddened to see you leave - you're VERY high on the "TRON-dom" scale! I mean - you seem to have such a love for all things TRON - not the future end of it - just TRON, as in the film and the energy it generates in all the fans of it.
Well, I respect your decision, whatever the reason.
Your presence will be missed.
Stop in from time to time.
We'll be here.
And we'll be happy to hear from you

Sadly, there are other things besides Tron / 2.0, which is why I may disappear for months at a time. But I always drop by, even if it's only read the new posts in a section or two.

Sometimes one needs to pause a process for a few cycles (and perhaps more than a few), but the process may remain, in state, waiting. If Mr. Lisberger makes an announcement regarding the cinematic - or if DaveTRON picks up the Xbox version of the game - he may feel the necessity of visiting the ol' circuits again.

I don't see a ship sinking.
This ship seems pretty watertight and will float so long as the owner of the site allows it to.

Hey Dave,
thanks for all the work you've done for TRON here - the resources/pictures/info/news all have been much appreciated (even now - a UK 70mil screening? Woohoo : ).
TRON has lately not been very relevant to my life either, but I think it may have some life left in it yet. Although I suspect the more interesting events are still some time away.
Make sure you pop back once in a while.
