Awesome kung-fu movie. Extremely artistic, with an amazing use of color, music, and wire-fu to tell an interesting story.
If you like REAL kung-fu movies, subtitles and all, you can't miss this.

I've seen the preview to "Hero." It looks impressive, but I'm a wee bit worried because Quiten Terrontino is directing that one. I wasn't too impressed with his last works.
As for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" goes, I highly recommend "Iron Monkey." It's one of the best Kung-Fu films I've seen (Next to the Jackie Chan films of course! ) It's a lot like a Chinese Robin Hood with a Crouching Tiger flare. This movie is one of my favourites. (GO MISS ORCHERD! YAY!)

I remember watching Iron Monkey for the first time back in the late '80's/early '90's and being blown away by the cool wire-fu, amazing choreography and good story. This one of my absolute favorite kung-fu movies of all time, right up there with The Five Deadly Venoms, Killer Army and a few others.
Did you notice Iron Monkey's Donnie Yen in Hero?
There is a special place in my heart for The Kentucky Fried Movie's hilarious parody of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon, A Fistful of Yen with Evan Kim as Loo, the Bruce Lee character.

Quentin Tarantino didn't direct "Hero."
He merely used his name and clout at Miramax to get the film released without edits, hence it's "Quentin Tarantino Presents".
The film is directed by "Raise the Red Lantern's" Yimou Zhang.
I don't know that I liked it BETTER than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, but I liked it at least as much. Jet Li is just THE MAN in this film, as Chou-Yun Fat was in CTHD.
If you like wire-fu and a real Chinese story (don't look for happy endings or explosions every 5 minutes), I can't recommend Hero highly enough!
Brilliant film with a brilliant color scheme!
It's very "Rashoman" in its execution. Different perspectives of the same event.
VERY well done!
And Kamui, for someone who quotes Kill Bill, I don't know how you couldn't like Tarantino! Have you seen all of his films, or just Kill Bill Vols. 1 & 2? I'm not attacking, just curious!abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
