I've been just watching a little dealy on the in-behind-the-scenes of "I-Robot" and I was looking at the concept are for some of the vehicals of the movie and it looked like they were either inspired by Syd Mead or he actually helped with the movie.
Did Syd Mead ACTUALLY do any work for that movie?
Just curious.

Nope. I wondered that myself at first. The production design was done by Patrick Tatopoulos. The I robot site says his style has played a prominent role in several motion picutes including "Pitch Black", "Independence Day", "Dark City", "Stargate", "Godzilla", Stuart Litte", and "Supernova". The site says I Robot is the second collaboration for Tatopoulos and the directopr Proyas since "Dark City". He also does creature and makeup deisgn and fabrication as well as directing.
Checkout the I robot site under "Crew Database" cause it gives more info about him. He's done alot of work by what the site says.

From what I've read of several reviews, it made some reviewers think of Blade Runner.

Hm! That explains a few things. For a while I was thinking Syd Mead is at it agian but I guess Patrick Tatopoulos was probaly just inspired by his work. ^^;;
