Any one else have a fondness for the little bricks?
I recently got out an old lego robot creation of mine that was collecting dust and did a major update on it's construction. This is the best thing I've ever built. This lego robot now has 21 points of articulation, 27 if you count the 4 fingers and 2 antenna. I'm right pleased with how well this robot turned out. Now if I only had enough legos I could make an army of these little bots and in turn rule the WORLD!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHA... er... sorry. Anyway here's some images of it.

It looks like a great cross between Black Hole and Robotech.
Now me, I bought the lego inn where Frodo and Sam meet Strider.
NOW THAT'S SOME GOOD LEGOS!

I sure do. I certainly see why flynn1978 sees a Black Hole/Robotech connection. Being a big fan of Robotech/Macross myself here is another nice lego creation I've seen lately.

I have a big plastic box in my garage filled with Legos from my youth, my Brother's youth, and my son's youth (Does that make me old?). I think I need to see what kind of TRON goodness can come from them.

Sketch - that's an awesome robot!
You are as skilled with the little bricks as you are with your magic pixel pen!
I've made many things over the years with my Lego sets - mostly spaceships. I even had an electric Lego set with a motor and gears (back in '81 or '82 or so) - it was pretty cool. I made little car-like things that would move back and forth when the motor was activated.
But I never made any (original) creations as cool looking as that! You paid excellent attention to detail and articulation too!
You really do belong in the toy industry or maybe even gaming industry or something like that. You're really good with this kind of thing! I remember your MCP play set idea - great stuff!

Thanks. I would love to work in a field where my art actually becomes a reality. Specially if it pays well. I've always just enjoyed creating designs and stuff.

Well, this robot has actually existed since 6h grade I think. I do see some Robotech likeness. I need to find those photos of the original ones (there were 2 originally, a white and a black one). The old ones housed drivers in their head compartments and were pretty basic in overall design. If I find the photos I will post them. The white one was more of a construction robot and the black one was a fighter type robot, which has become what you see before you now. https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Yeah, I must admit, I have collected a fair amount of legos over time thanks to relatives.
My robot has now become a display piece. I made a docking platform with little maintenance robots. The platform looks a little sloppy to me. In front is a computer terminal so a system check can be done on the robot. On both sides there are movable arm braces to help keep him in place. This platform allows the robot to stand up so it dosen't fall over easily. In these photos you will also see an older creation that I've never scrapped. It's a little poseable Spider robot. I think it's cute. I shall call him... SPYDOR!!!

Also here's another old creation. It's a space ship I made. It has a docking bay in the middle so ships can land and fighters can be deployed. In the front is an energy beam weapon that is the ultimate weapon on the whole ship.
Front
Back
I created this ship cause I got into stop motion video making with legos when I was in junior high. I made a whole command deck set for this ship, which was large and had tons of computers and operators. It's no more today. I had this idea for a Space Ranger type hero that flew around in his little lego space fighter going to different worlds and destroying bad guys. I did the stop motion with a regular VHS camrecorder, using only the pause button to capture the animation. Never actually got any of the stuff done. What worth I did is just miscellaneous shootings I did for fun. I once did a shoot out scene with the lego hero laying on the floor with a person running at him knife. I had the hero raise his ray gun and shoot him. I used red clay to portray the killer's head and chest exploding in a gruesome mess.
Boy that was fun to do.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue_bezel/ |

Wow, Sketch...that's a badass lookin' robot!
I've always said, you're never ever too old for Legos. They just rule. Let your imagination run wild and create something fantastic.
Speaking of letting your imagination run wild with Legos...check out some pics I took of me and my girlfriend last month at Lego-land, right here in Orlando...

That's so awsome! That's got to be such a cool and fun place to work at getting to build stuff like that for all to see.
My goodness. How much glue do you think they go through a month at that place? I watched a thing on Travel Channel about the Lego parks and they use glue on all those creations so they don't break. They showed the people that get build that stuff and they have a whole warehouse/workshop with aisles of shelves that contain every lego piece made in every color imaginable so they can build anything.
I would love to see them build a life size lightcycle out of legos. The could do it easily.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

LOL, I'd guess they use quite a bit of some kinda hardcore glue on those things. They'd have to, to help those outdoor behemoths make it through all the Florida thunderstorms and what have you. Yeah, Lego-land is pretty cool. Their indoor shop has bins and bins full of every color imaginable for every brick imaginable, just as you mentioned what you saw on tv. It's a Lego lover's dream. I had never seen coffee and berry colored bricks before, along with some other crazy looking bricks I never knew they made.
Man, a life sized lightcycle eh? That would rock! You're right, that could easily be done by the people who already have their Lego building skills intact. Considering some of the crazy stuff they built already, including a gigantic spaceship that looks like it crash landed in the middle of the park, they could handle just about any project worth undertaking.

Finally found an image of the 2 original robots I talked about earlier. The black one you see on the right is what evolved into the new robot I posted. It has come along way.
As you can see they were pretty basic in design and construction. Wish the black one showed up better.abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Whoa! Sketch, you're the best LEGO builder ever! I love those bricks too, I have (with my little siblings) a box full of them. Maybe I should take the box out and make something related to Tron out of them.
Sometimes it makes me quite jealous to see someone draw and build that well... but, I guess I just have to live with the fact that I can't be perfect. My profile icon on the left is my very own work, done by Paintbrush program with my 386SX computer running Win 3.1. Mostly I had to do it pixel by pixel with a mouse that doesn't always obey me.
Well, you can see the results.
Keep up the excellent work, Sketch!

I love the pics.
My daughters are going to be excited tomorrow. Ive decided tonite after work to go out and bring in all our legos.
you all got me in the mood to build. hehe.
The strange thing is Ive never bothered building robots, or space ships. but I have built several odd designs, and some cars and boats.
somewhere I do have a couple of pictures of a big MTV logo I built once. with my pet rats climbing on it. hehe.
once I find them Ill scan them and post em.
