Personally I like cooler temperatures myself. If it gets too cold there are some excellent creative ways to stay warm... Anyway, I think I shall have a drink. ::: has to fight to take his eyes off of Kamui ::: Can you recommend something with a patch routine in it? My head is killing me. I was playing something they called "WormVirus". It looked like a simple game of tag combined with dodgeball. The idea being one program has the worm and they have to get rid of it as fast as possible by throwing it at another program. But they neglected to tell me how much momentum the worm carried with it. Owch...

uh huh. *hops behind the bar and pours TF a Sark's brew with a 'header reformat' patch and passes it to him* sounds dangerous. you really ought to read the fine code before you get into a game like that. Say, Kamui, how would you like some of this new drink I just downloaded from a German server; GMX.net? it looks a might bit strong, but they don't make 'em like this anywhere else!

Well it's not actually a worm, they just call it that. It's big glowing tetrahedronal orb. ::: takes a good swig of the Sark's Brew ::: It keeps track of how long its been in the possession of each program and at the end of the round, whoever held it the least amount of time is declared the winner. Once it's grabbed you, the only way to get rid of it is to make it come in contact with someone else. They just call it WormVirus because its reminiscent of how an email worm travels from system to system. And I hadn't ever heard of the game either until today, but when I see a new game, I just have to play it!

That sounds pretty fun actually, well... except for the derezzing part. Maybe they should try it with slightly more docile bugs... or at least have a couple clown programs in there to distract the bugs when they throw off their riders.

That cold energy thing sounds like a good way to keep cool. Though on that server there I somehow doubt they have trouble staying cool to begin with.
I came across a really weird game once when I got transported to this one server by accident. It was someplace in Africa, I think. They had this contest to see who could catch and eat the highest number of live Bits.

It was very gross. But then they decided to have a game to see who could catch and eat ME! Fortunately I managed to an exit port.

[sips his watered-down Blast] Ever been through a Starfleet Training Routine? They stick you on a PDA with the batteries drained down to just above zero and you have to write an infrared driver program from scratch so you can beam yourself off before the power goes out completely. I went through that once-- it was close. I was lucky to have my Compiler procedural at maximum efficiency, or I'd be in the Long Standby now.

She thought back hard to that day that she was found by a couple of programs on their daily hike. She was left on the shores of an energy lake and almost half way to being derezzed. To this day, she has no idea why she was there or who she was before that. There are only a few memories left to her: She can fight well, her name is Kamui.EXE and she connected to Tron in some way.
