I know!
I was looking up some sites on throwing frisbees to get some tips.
I'd like to learn how to throw a frisbee overarm, just like the bit in the film where Tron and Yori are heading towards the I/O Tower and they come across that lone guard.
They have stills of the scene on the DVD.
Does anyone know whether that was a bona-fide frisbee throw?
Regards,
Paul

hi, Greetings Programs. Greetings Users.
Man that file is way way to much technobabble imo.
Anybody here remember the "Aerobee"? It's an awesome aerodynamic throwing ring, sort of like a thin Chakram.
I've still got mine and it flies very very far and it's not to hard to do some trick throws with it; a wide open field is a must for this thing. It would be sweet if someone made a graphic mod for Tron 2.0 to change his disc into an aerobee type weapon. I don't have such mad programming skillz to do that myself, unfortunately.

I'm pretty sure it was a bona-fide throw. Bruce Boxlietner had been training with the frisbee for the film. I know that the backhand catch he does at the end of his first disk battle was a true catch.

Hi,
Thanks, yeah as I recall the catch that Bruce made was under extreme pressure because Steven Lisberger was a little pee'ed off that day!
My nick comes from that film with Mel Gibson as William Wallace....I remember the war-cry scene perfectly....

When I saw the title of this thread I thought of the Homestarrunner.com cartoon when he says 'science! I say science again!' anyway...
woah, he is probably either really dedicated or has way too much free time.
oh, and nice to meet you, Bravepants. you too, ShadowDragon1. ------------
