What do you think is better the classic lightcycle or the new super lightcycle. I personally like the classic style lightcycle better.

I think I prefer the classic lightcycle over the super. The enclosed rider concept appeals to my sense of futurism. Speaking of Lightcycles, check out this flash animation.

You know - they REALLY did it right when they designed the original light cycles. I thought they were the COOLEST thing in 1982... and they remain so today, in my book.
The super cycles are ok... but rez me in a classic light cycle ANY day and I'll be grinning ear to ear with delight!

I'll take a clasic any day. I don't think my side cycle would look right with a super.
Sorry I've been gone for so long guys but the move to Mississippi should be complete in about a month and I hope to have some free time to get back to rendering soon.

I'm still rather fond about the classical Light cycle. But the new one is kewel if Mercury is on it for some stange reason. Like the animation and all that too from the lonk.

I like both designs. Syd Mead did an excelent job on both of the cycles. They each have totally different visual aspects that make them so neat. I love the old school Lightcycle the best cause of it's geometric styling that gives it a high speed racer look. The simplicity of it's design is what makes it stand out. It dosen't need any other details to make a stament. It fits the videogame look perfectly. At the same time I also like the Supercycles styling with it's dragbike look. It has a nice agressive feel that goes well with the Tron theme. I can just see that thing doing huge digi burnouts on the grid.
