DaveTRON or Cliff,
These are the things i would like to see in a future Tron 2.0 update:
1. Support for all resolutions offered by my or anyone elses video card. (ie: get the resolution info from the video card driver)
2. The sound bugs, I have a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and I still dont hear a lot of the sounds that are part of the game. Its really annoying when you dont hear an ICP sneaking up behind you and you only know once you get derezed.
I think i'd appreciate the resolutions more then the sound because i have an older monitor (from 1991) and it can support high resolutions. (i prefer 1280x1024) Due to its age my concern for how long it will last is growing by the day. I believe that constant resoluton changing (ie whe you first start Tron 2.0) will be its ultimate death. I don't think that heat will do it because i clean the inside of it thoroghly every 3 months and it has a cooling fan that runs whenever it runs.
Thanks,
Kyp

Well kyp, you can cheat and set the resolution in to whatever you want by editing a certain file.
But there are drawbacks . . . one, the resolution may not "stick" because the game detects the inappropriate resolution and sets it back down. This will happen for certain if you enter the display options in the game.
The other problem is that if the aspect ratio of the resolution isn't 4:3, all the graphics in the game will be distorted.
But if you want to try this, just edit the "display.cfg" file in the game's directory, it's a plain text file. Change "screenwidth" and "screenheight" to whatever you want.

Would it also be possible to have the player movements, and the weapon fire on the client side? I do not enjoy hitting the fire button and it responds .3 seconds later because of the server lag.
Though the problem I will find here is that the lagged players will gain advantages unless you have a ping limiter for each servers.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pillwhere to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Hey Kyp,
I have the creative soundblaster 5.1 platinum but basically same card as you with a live drive added..Im not getting any of the sound issues you mentioned. You might try completely uninstalling the card and all the software, reinstall from the original driver cd and then update. I had to do this when I was having problems with NOLF2. If your on winxp using your original dirver disk it will tell you that the driver isnt supported but if you ignore that and let the install finish then update BEFORE restarting the machine you shouldnt have any issues after that.

If I were you, I'd look into getting a new monitor. (I am doing this, but have to wait till summer to purchase one. Mine works just fine with Tron 2.0, but my monitor has this very odd refresh rate and I can see it and it makes me feel sick after using my computer for a while.)order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pillabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Those things do occur in realtime on the client. The server only authoritates the weapons and movement collision detection so your hits won't register nor will you receive feedback on your shots right away.
Using a peer-to-peer networking model where clients determine weapon hits and movement collision detection is a simple recipe for cheating. Some games like Half-Life use a method know as "lag compensation" for vector/non-projectile weapons where the server uses the players' position information at the time the client fired rather than the later time (the client's latency) when the server actually received notification that the client had fired its weapon to determine is a hit was made. However, it is still the server which determines the weapon collisions.
