hmm...
I've never seen that but I know I saw a episode of the fairly oddparents (while channel surfing) where some guys were in virtual reality, and it was very tron-esqe.

I saw that episode tonight. Thought it was awsome. They even put in a real cgi gloweffect and backgrounds for that Tronish look. That makes 2 Tron parodies for Dexters Laboratory.

there is a tron reference in the Simpsons, as well.
in a story in one of the halloween specials, homer gets stuck in a virtual reality. the people in the proper simpsons world ask "what's it like in there, Homer?"

Why is there not a section for TRON references in the popular media? Maybe an archive section. I keep hearing of TRON in Family Guy, Dexter's LAb, etc., but can't see them.

Because most of those materials are copyrighted and not for posting.
If Disney decided to take issue with TRON Sector, TRON Sector could dissapear in a heartbeat.
If TRON Sector posted stuff that belonged to FOX they might help that happen.
I am trying to find out what the rules are for posting samples of things like that. I believe you can post something of a certain length legally as long as copyrights are mentioned and it does not give the entire sequence. If I find that out I will post all the clips I have in abbreviated versions.
