Gameplay

on Monday, March, 01, 2004 6:23 PM
Well in my opinion, I belive that the single player gameplay was too dificult for the average person...damn, even I had problems. The graphics were great, but I was turned off only because I found it dificult to navigate the tron world.

I think that is primarily why I stuck with lightcycles.

I think the other reason is; a new title should not be sold for such a high price before it has a large gathering of people who play...normally the second or third edition of a title is where the price rises, and some just stay the same. 53 bucks for a game is very steep for a new title that has not proven itself to the public.

Remember, this is my opinion and should only be taken as such.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill online

It seems to me that 90% of new PC and console games (be they sequels or originals) start at the $50 price point.

A new PC game shouldn't cost any less than a new PS2 or Xbox game.

The price point of $40.00 to $50.00 for a new game was set way back in the days of the Atari 2600. Adjusting for inflation, $50.00 in 1984 (for example) has the same buying power as $89.12 in 2004. Considering what you get now compared to what you got then for the same unadjusted price, games have actually gotten much cheaper. So, you really can't complain because you do get more for less.

Well it does matter. Good games are being released at great affordable prices all the time now, especially with the great ecomony we have, lol.

Lets put it in perspective...Unreal Tournament 2004 DVD Special Edition, with the game, editing tutorials on 3DVD is 39 bucks with a 20 dollar rebate...and thats new

om, serious sam was a cool game that sold for 20 bucks brand new...on and on we can go but price affects sales, it's proven.

To answer your question Mutoid, I have not been playing lc at all lately, mainly ut2k4 demo...getting ready for the full dog coming up in a couple weeks.

If you want to get some news and such on UT, I have a dedicated site for it as well. http://www.ut2x.patchgonebad.com
basically anything UT related is there...enjoy

UT2K4 @ $39.99 (for either the 2 DVD special edition or the God-knows-how-many-CDs regular edition) is a special case. They are discounting it because it is basically a glorified expansion pack for UT2K3 (which you just bought for $50.00 last year) and they want you to buy it. At best, if you buy it from EBgames you can get a $10.00 rebate if you are "upgrading" from UT2K3, and you also get a $20.00 EB Gift Voucher good towards another game from EB.

Serious Sam is cool, but it is the rare budget game that actually did well. It was really just Doom/Doom II with souped-up graphics and really couldn't command a $50.00 price tag.

I'm glad I paid new release full price for the game-it's worth it! Gotta support everyone @ Disney, and BVI, and Monolith, and everyone else!

I'd still like to see the soundtrack put on sale-with a easter egg bonus level (or two-hint) thrown in!

Good one, flynn1978!

If anyone from Buena Vista is listening () I'd instantly purchase the soundtrack, if available!

I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It would also be a nice, neato "techie" way to include updates to the PC game.

BTW, having installed the Win2k update, I was quite pleasurably chuffed to see the Tron 1.0 model available for multiplayer! Naturally, since I think he should have accepted Sark's offer, I play him as Red.
