On a side note, regarding AutoMan: If it was cheesy, then I think my young little mind must've just absorbed all the cool Tron-like effects and didn't pay too much attention to the story. I honestly don't remember what it was about... other than that he was maybe a crime-fighter that could use his Tron-like powers to fight crime. But then again, that was a time when I liked shows like Manimal, Max Headroom, Miami Vice and some military helicopter show.

Disclaimer: I wasn't suggesting that I'd want any new Tron TV series to be like AutoMan

I'm getting out of here right now, and you guys are invited. -----^

You can see some more Automan pics if you do a Google image search. As a side note, Automan was a product of TRON producer Donald Kushner.

TRON could easily translate to comics because drawing the electronic world is much easier, quicker and most of all cheaper to do than rendering it via CGI.

A TRON TV series would easily need to be the most expensive series to produce ever because of all the CGI that would be needed, unless it spent most of the the show in the real world with only very short sequences in the electronic world. And frankly, that would suck.

I say do it right on the big screen with a big budget or don't do it at all.

Oh, and don't kill the second movie by filling it with backstory and all this setting up nonsense.

This movie is for people who are already into TRON. We know what happened. Don't change the backstory (a la T3) to fit some new vision of the property, or to bring non-fans up to speed. I can't stand it when movies are dumbed down for the sake of new fans.

"We are, after all, not God." - Cmdr. J. J. Adams
"C is for cookie. That's good enough for me." - Cookie Monster
"If money is the root of all evil, I'd like to be a bad, bad man." - Huey Lewis & the News

I would like to do some work on tron. I know of a friend that recently got a SGI computer. Not the fastest one to work with but its one to start things off with. I've seen it at his place. And helped him find a Free OS for it too from SGI. Just have to reinstall the OS and get it running on it. I could try and get soething going with that and make some test runs like what was shown here as small 30 second video's Or something similar to like what BV had done for the game. Favetron COuld I get some input from you on this.

This is what the machine looks like in case someone wants to take a look at it. THought it would be intersting to show everyone what machine I am refering too..

I should also qualify my earlier statement. I like Automan on it's own, but it was not high art. It was cheesy TV. If a TRON TV series ever happens, I want higher production values ala Buffy or Star Trek or even Stargate SG1. I want a decent sow with a comprehensible backstory and fun episodes that keep you involved. TRON's got a history of sorts now, and that can be put to very good use.

If we could make something with a machine like the SGI that I had shown in the link or at least with a regular pc. Just make from scratch something tron like a 30second video of some sort. And without using anything that is under licensed from BV or Disney. I don't know if you remember there was some quick time videos with a guy that was on a skateboar that was done tron like. Something to that nature. Or along those lines. Do you remember that video..

But it would be related to tron of course. That would be about it. Don't want to get into trouble of any sort.

Compucore,

That was a Sci-Fi Channel commercial with Tony Hawk spoofing a Lightcycle scene. We had it linked but they took the page down. If I can find the file I'll upload it to the TS archives.where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

No problem Esotek,,

Like I said. I would like to do something like that. Maybe along the lines with using our Digi-icon of Sketch and the others would agreein having their digicons being used. Its for the fun of it. And since the machine that I had seend at my friends place isn't being used at the moment. Could put it to good use in soething like this something that everyoen would have a good laugh at even myself.

WOuldn't it be something of a small fun for all of us?? What woul you guys and babetrons gals think?

Karl,

I think it can look like TRON, it's when you call it TRON or use the TRON characters that you step on Disney's territory. You'd really have to get advice from a lawyer first if you are serious.

Esotek,

I have that Tony Hawk vid. I'll upload it now.

Hi Dave,

No problem like I said. Its just an idea. and I don't want any harm done to either of us. I will take a look into that. I may know of a few people that are lawyers. I will check that out for sure. Trust me I would not use the tron word or use any of the characters from Tron in the first place. Without consulting.
