Very cool! I've only been to Disney World once, but I have seen a Tron costume at the Planet Hollywood at the Mall of America!

Well... being that it was my honeymoon, there are a FEW things I'll not care to elaborate on here. I will say that the Disney Cruise was amazing. Great food, awesome ship, and a really really beautiful island all to yourself (so to speak).
We rode Haunted Mansion everyday while at the Magic Kingdom, and sometimes twice. heh. Love that ride, spoky and fun all at the same time... ''When hinges creek in doorless chambers...'' gotta love that!
Neat Trivia: If you ever go to DisneyQuest at WDW and play Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters, you'll notice the sound effects are from Tron.
I keep checking in the Curious shop at MGM Studios and they DO still have some original Tron stuff there. If you want some of the B&W publicity photos they actually still have some left (all originals) for only $2 per. I think you can even call them and have them shipped to you.

I figure some of the honeymoon must have involved the names TRON and Yori, but let's not talk about that....
Welcome back, congrats and glad you had a great time. I am going down there for the first time later this year. I can't wait based on your report.
Have I told you about my plan to own that Syd Mead statue when they auction it off? I consider it my biggest challenge as a TRON collector. DaveTRON

Yeah I have all the info on the auction, but it will not happen for some time. They are going to be sending the Statues on a museum trip around the country.
And we'll just see about you owning that...

Last time I was there was in 2001 while I was on my honeymoon. My wife and I spent a week there and then a week in Vegas, baby!
What was funny was that we planned on going to Vegas first, geting married there on the first full day, and then spending the rest of the week there and then a week in DisneyWorld. But, the way the scheduling worked out, we ended up going to Disney first, then Vegas and getting married there on the last full day! Ah, now that was a fun two weeks!
Anyway, when you were at DisneyQuest, did you hit the retro arcade? That was my favorite part of DQ! All the free classic gaming goodness you can stand, and all you have to is mash your button-pressing finger on the "start" button! Space War, Lunar Lander, Spy Hunter, TRON... the list goes on!
How about the virtual games at DQ? Did you try those? The lightsaber-esque game was awesome! When the game was done, I saw that I had come in first place with the most kills, and the person in second was only a hair behind me. I pulled of my helmet and said "Hey, who got second place?" at the same time my wife pulled off her helmet and said "Hey, who got first place?" I was like "You got second?" and she was like "You got first?" That's when I realized I was going to marry a virtual killing machine! I was so proud of her! You know what they say, the family that slays together, stays together!
Oh yeah, which ship were you on, the Disney Magic or the Disney Wonder?
I saw a show about the ships on either the History Channel or Discovery Channel (I forget which) and they said that the interior of the Magic is art deco and the Wonder is art nouveau. My preference is towards art deco, so I'd really like to go on the Magic first. Either way, there are supposed to be Mickey Mouse and other character designs hidden everywhere. That's awesome! My girlfriend and I went to Disney World this past Christmas. It was my gazillionth time going and her first ever. Anyways, She was convinced that the Haunted Mansion was gonna be lame. As we were going through it though, she kept saying "How'd they do that!?" at like everything! haha, it turned out to be one of her favorite attractions, and quite a romantic ride in the cart if I do say so myself, considering how dark it is in there, heh.
As it turned out, I think our favorite attraction together was The Aerosmith Rock-n-Rollercoaster at MGM. We rode on it 6 times in a row.
Here we are on the Rock-n-Rollercoaster just as it takes off!
She's a better screamer than I.

Auric,
Considering what it's going to cost to win it, I was going to suggest we combine forces with TRONProgram and try to snag it. We can work out annual custody agreements and each keep it for a year or something!
I heard it was 30K to make it, so can you imagine what it might go for at auction? If we do team up, I'll even give you Year 1, but I want him year 2! DaveTRON

I was looking for the TRON Mickey when I was there in December. Where is it in relation to the entrance?

It's right after you pass through security, but BEFORE you actually enter the park. it's just to the left of center up against the garden rail. Scan for the Disc Primitive and you can't miss it.

WOW!!! I've seen pictures of that Syd Mead statue before but it had nothing in the background. I was thinking it was something maybe 10in tall that you could sit on a desk. Looks like its made out of a couple tons of concrete and looking at the base I'm guessing you need a forklift to move it around. If you guys team up and plan on moving this thing every year are you aware of what you might be getting yourself into. I'm guessing the person that wins it has a truck with a forklift drop it off in his driveway and he better have an understanding wife when she has to park on the curb till he finds a way to get it into the garage at least. If one of you guys does win this I think I'll chip in and make you a bumber sticker that reads "My other car is a forklift".
Now if they make a 10in tall version of this let me know,

Guys, I'd love to chip in on MickeyTRON but even my credit line doesn't extend that far!!!!!!! I'd have to sell everything TRON wise I had to you guys and then none of us would be able to afford it.
DaveTRON, do you have a cunning plan that doesn't involve selling your house to get the statue?

TRONProgram,
I am working on my evil plots every day. I will come up with a plan soon.
Rhender,
I still have my ID card from Virtual World in my wallet! I'm with you, I miss going in and playing Red Planet. There is a Dave and Busters in ORange County that still runs the sims, but it's too far to drive. We used to have an awesome place in Pasadena. Anyone go to that one?
