i have no idea what the story behind this machine is, i found the pics in a post to RGVAC. Im gonna try to find out what happened to it. Hopefully within a few days.

looks to me, it might have a "genius" decided to cut it into half to be able to ship it for cheaper and put it back together.......... (oy)

Nah, it looks cut. Too clean not to be. If it had broken then the wood would be jagged and the decals would be torn. Buzzsay is probally what was used.
It looks like the it might have water damage. Look at the base. In image 2 the bottom is coming apart on the left corner. Notice the spats on the inside walls (image 2). I could be wrong about the water damage.
I think Kia is right. Might of been for shipping. I can't think of another reason to cut a cabinet in half while the good internal parts are still inside. On the second image they came pretty close to cutting some of the parts. Yikes.
