Big announcement for the gamers of Tron-Sector....
The NEW!!! Unreal Tournament 2004 - Demo is released.
As many of you know... The UT dev team has made their engine very very MOD friendly. If thouse of you plan to do a Tron Mod (like U-TRON but I don't know if the team died off or what 'forgive my ignorance'). This is the engine to use (this is just my view).

I'm sorry I've not been able to keep in touch. I've been in Georgia for the past week and I can't access my @mail. I've been haveing some trouble accessing my MSG on TRON-SECTOR and I think my friend's Lap-Top is having some issues...

I played some of it and it froze my PC. (Silver thinks it might be audio issues... irony in its finest form.)
Since then, I've disabled the sounds in both UT2k3 and UT2k4 because they like to freeze on me. (put both of 'em on safe mode sound)
Should really try to test this out... x_x

Have you downloaded the latest drivers for your sound card?
I installed it on my friend's computer (running a Gforce 3 and Sound blaster live) and it runs great. I also installed it on my moms computer just to see how it performs with buget devices (S3 Savage 4 and Via onboad sound) and it looks crappy and it's shakey but it runs without lock up issues. The sound is choppy but it's not too bad.
I love the vehicals. The Raptor is my fav. I can't wait till the retail version is released. I'm dieing to play the space combate level in Assult. I'm a huge FreeSpace fan if your wondering.
Kia, if you ever get the chance and you want to multi play online sometime, just drop me a message. I may only have access to a 56k connection but I played online last night with it and it runs great. Just let me know if your intrested.

Well, I like it. Its still in 'beta', but it runs great on my system. The sound is okay though some sounds need tweaked, when stuff blows up my sub really pounds. First time i played i nearly feel out of my seat, since most of the rest of the ingame sounds are somewhat quiet i had the sound turned up, then the core blew up in onslought...ahhhh.

damned if I know on the subject of the sound card and I have no reason to care about it. :P (I'm deaf, so the sound card is /useless/)

I haven't tried it yet-I'm having problems (I think because of) with Direct x 9.0b with trying to get music to work in Laser Arena and Nerf Arena Blast, and I can't even get South Park to recognize the cd, and I was playing the game last year.
I don't know if 9.0b is the real culprit, but I can't take b out unless I reinstall Windows...
I miss playing south park...Seriously!

Is U2 XMP really good ? I haven't downloaded it yet .
I am a huge fan of unreal 2 but I haven't played it lately. I thought that the game was good however there were some people who gave bad reviews. My only complaint was that the game was very short but I thought everything else in the game was very good.

I think it's awesome...very much like Tribes 2 (which I was much into at the time). For some reason, I have to playXPM w/ lowest video settings at 800x600 to get a decent framerate. W/ the UT2K4 demo (and most other current games), I can play fine will all setting on high or highest.

I'm just about to get my UT2K4 game this week... I can't play it til my DVD player arrives (I ordered a DVD Burner).
BTW: Anyone know of any good DVD writer software?

DVD software-my HP DVD200i came with Sonic MyDVD, which I think is great...easy to make menues and chapters, etc.

I read that the full retail of UT2004 will take somewhere between 4-6 GB of hard disk space...
WHAT?!? 4-6 GB of space for the retail?!? Man it's gonna be huge...
BTW, I wonder what Tron 2.0 would have been like if it had an Assault or Onslaught like game type...
Man, I can't wait to see a Tron style mod for UT2004 . I hope it really does happen...

I'd love to see a TRON tank ONS-UTK4 map... If I can learn how to MOD, I'd really love to do it. Perhaps even making several levels if I can ever find the time.
BTW: I just got my UT2K4 DVD SE today. I can't play it yet because my order for my DVD burner (I didn't have a DVD drive so I decided to go all out) won't come till Friday.
If I can figure out how to do so, I'll start a thread...
