My wife got me the Battlestar Galactica DVD set!
The ORIGINAL, REAL, Battlestar Galactica!
Woo hoo!
It's got the Cylon cover - how cool is that?
The eye even glows and scans back and forth!!!
... uh... ok, maybe not, but it's still SOOOOOO cool!
ALL 24 ORIGINAL EPISODES!!!
AND interviews and behind the scenes and more!!!
Woo hoo!
Man, were there that few episodes? It seemed like there were so many more when I was a kid.
She complained about the price, but I assured her - that was money WELL spent!
Ok, I got other stuff too, but that was my favorite Christmas present.

Well my user got some nice shirts with two ties from his parents. And from what my user tells me is his younger brother.(I think its and upgrade of him) what they call is a gift certificate from HMV to buy what he wants from thir music or video collection at what is called a store. And from his nephew that came from NYC a game called Dungeon Siege. THats about it.

My User's Wife got him a Prince Live CD Box Set and an autographed Gerry Anderson Biography and the Joe90 DVD set. She also got him the TRON 10" vinyl figures from Japan! Woohoo!
TRONProgram also sent my User a very nice selection of TRON goodies! Thank you from my User TRONProgram.

i got tron 2.0 and the 20th anniversary dvd... jsut two more dream dvds i must have: the BSG complete series ( much better than the crap on scifi) and the alien quadrilogy

Kia its s good thing my Fiancee doesnt read these forums...shes been bugging me for that DVD set for the last 6 months...went to go order it amazon back ordered it ACK...Anyway mum's the word huh? hehe
BTW Todd you are now my envy...I've been looking to get that set since it was announced on SciFi...original BSG is VASTLY superior to the SciFi remake IMO

Ohhhh - let me tell you how SWEEEEEEEET the original series!
I'm already 2 DVD's in to it and have 4 left to go. Actually, the DVD's are double-sided, so I'm kind of like 4 DVD's in to it and 8 left to go. I enjoy watching the deleted scenes after each episode - there's a few bloopers in there too... and Adama singing in the pilot episode - they cut that out.
I LOVE that show! It was probably my favorite as a kid and was way too short lived.
As for the remake - I refused to watch it. It looked like a load of crap (with some snappy visuals) from the promos, and from what I've read from BSG fans after it aired - it was INDEED a load of crap. Glad I didn't watch!
But the original series, it's just so sweet. I am REALLY enjoying watching them again... in fact, I might just go watch another episode now! Trying to pace myself though - I don't want to rush through them all too fast.

Heh! The hellsing set is oddly cheap on half.com but it turned out to be the old version.
old version = two dvds.
New version = four dvds... uhhhh

Here's my "hell yeah" haul from over the past week or so:
DVDs including:
- Alien Quadrilogy DVD set (4 movies, 9 discs)
- Escape from New York new 2-disc DVD set (1 movie, 2 discs)
- Tron 20th anniversary DVD set (1 movie, 2 discs)
- Terminator3 DVD (1 movie, 2 discs)
- Pirates of the Caribbean DVD (1 movie, 2 discs)
- Back to the Future trilogy DVD set (3 movies, 3 discs)
- Indiana Jones trilogy DVD set (3 movies, 4 discs)
- Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers extended edition DVD (1 movie, 4 discs)
That's 15 individual movies in DVD format, folks, not to mention all the supplemental discs and stuff. 28 DVD discs total.
Also got:
- Alien mez-itz (hell yeah. The Alien RULES)
- final book in the Star Wars "New Jedi Order" series
- a digital camera (so I can FINALLY take pics of the stuff at my dorm )
- a magnetic dartboard
Best gift of all:
- Met a girl who loves me. Actually loves me. Holy crap.

My parents were overly generous enough to send me and my girlfriend to Disney World for 4 days while we spent 10 days at their house in Orlando. I couldn't have possibly asked for a better gift, especially since we both live 2,000 miles apart at the moment and don't get to see each other very often. Long-distance relationships can be tough but it CAN work. Our wonderful vacation ended with a new year's celebration at Universal Citywalk with drinks, friends and plenty of fireworks. Best Christmas/New Year's yet.
