I just wanted to share this story w/ you all. I was Christmas shopping w/ my brother at the mall, and he asked me if I would be interested in a full-sized, working Pac-Man arcade game. One of his friends had one (they found one at an old pub they bought), and is wanting to get rid of it, so it wouldn't even cost anything. I was like..."uh, YEAH!!!".
He's checking w/ the friend, so I'm waiting to hear back. He asked me where I would put it, and I said that I didn't know, but I'd definately make room!! You probably guessed by my avitar that I like Pac-Man..abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Nice, better be careful can get him addicted. Dad got me an old raido from the 30's and helped me rebuild it when i was 8. I've been hooked ever since and have close to 40 radios and tons of tubes, nobes, boards, etc laying around Thats a very cool present, I'd love to get something like that.

Oh yeah. I remember playing that one all the time. at a local place in Laval. THe owner knew me at the time And whenever my mother was looking for me. SHe knew where to call or go to. Lucky me. the guy cover my butt too many times to count.

You and your brother are two lucky guys.
I live in Illinois and I go to these Pinball/Jukebox/Video Game auctions a lot around here. Some distrubiters are going out of business and auction off everything.
A non-working Pac-Man (at one auction I was at) went for $700 and another 3 working went for $1200 to $1500 becaue they still make money today. Pac-Man might age, but he won't die.
I was lucky to get a Ms. Pac-Man for $250 (non-working and without a CRT). I got it from a guy in Kentucky who use to be an Op for game machines and juke-boxes. It was recently broken into at our Arcade in our local mall but it wasn't damaged other than the coin door.
Tell your brother that if something happens in the future and he needs to get rid of it, make sure he knows that Pac-Man is still worth a hell of a lot of money, even today. But it mainly depends who is looking for one.

So true. I saw something a month ago at our local Walmart that proves that point all to well. They had those Pacman controlers that you plug up to a tv and play out on display so kids could play it to encourage sales. Here's the kicker... kids were playing the pacman game more than the PS2, Gameboy Advanced, and Gamecube displays in electronics section. I'm not joking. There was actually a mini crowd of kids around the controller watching the screen wanting to give the controller a wirl. It was cool getting to hear the famous "Wakka Wakka Wakka" sound effect echo through out toy section. :{(@

Come to think of it I remember seeing seomthing about a year or so ago at a local flea market.(Marche Au Puce in french in case your wondering.) ANd I hand seen something to what your describing there Sketch. It was a little hand controller that hooked up to the TV inputs in front of the set. With something like 15-100 games on it. Something like a mame thing but just in the controller. It was selling something like 75-100 bucks Canadian.

I was in Priscilla's Coffee in Toluca Lake yesterday and they have a mint Ms. Pacman cocktail table version in the back. Very sweet machine. I wish it were mine!

Pac-Man does rock.
In the past, I'd see a small crowd of young kids (perhaps between 5th and 8th grade) around our Ms. Pac. To most of them, this is like a new game. I also see them checking out the Pinball games a lot.
I love Pinball but I hate working on them. Sorry to vent, but when you get anything that is old and machinal, be prepared to spend hours upon hours looking for input on some really rare pinball games.
Ok... I'm done venting... 
Anyways, I'd love to get my hands on that TV hook up thingy. I haven't heard of it till now. I'll keep my eyes open, plus it would be a really cool gift for my sister's daughters. They 6 and 8 and are currently hooked on Super Mario (old nes/first game).

You know what Qix maybe on some of the older pinball machines the mechanical parts for it. Depending one the part in question. If your good with a metal lathe, small Milling machine, etc, and can recreate the part that is needed to repair couldn't you do it that way. Its just a suggestion. Cause when I was in high school I did take a couple of courses machine shop. I still use some of the techniques that I have learnt from that and apply it to my programming courses that I have taken like within the last year or so.
I think Sketch had found them for ya. there. I think the ones that I had seen at the flea market were similar to like those two mention by sketch.

Yes, I want one of these too, but I've heard that the quality of the games on it are not too good. btw...I make it a point to make sure I have Pac-Man in some form on every computer/game console/pocket pc I own.
I still haven't heard back from him...hopefully after the holidays...if the game doesn't work, I think I'll gut it, and install a PC w/ MAME, so I can play all the Pac-Man games on it!

Guess what....
I got it... A gift from my brother and I didn't think he knew anything about it. I got real lucky.
The Joystick is great but the games are different to the arcade.
But this is a good product to buy. I'd love some compatition. Anyone want to compare scores??? If so @mail me at:

Update: my brother said that the Pac-Man game was won by his friend & played only a few times, then put into storage, which could mean it's in pretty good shape depending on the place it was stored.
