GEEKS REVENGE!

on Friday, December, 19, 2003 12:35 AM
"Geek"..... Wow.... Not so long ago it was an insult, but today.... Well... You know the story.

When I was in High school, I was (what was called) a "South Sider" who were people of many different clicks who was sick of the BS clicks and became the largest HS group of all of southern Illinios. Preps, Geeks, Rough-necks, Cowboys, Cheer-leaders, Outcasts, Jocks, Poor, Rich, whatever.

No body wanted to be called a Geek back then. I was amoung the Party-Hardy croud (cross between the Preps and Outcasts) back in '93'. But was rasied by Hillbillies and computers.

Anyways....

Today, the Geeks got their revenge.

I was at our local mall the other day and two very atractive teenage girls (most likely Preps/Cheerleaders) was talking about their BEST FRIEND GEEK.

Wow... a Best friend Geek... Never thought I'd ever hear the words..

One was talking about their computer problems and the other said to contact their best friend who was a computer geek and a very nice fellow...

I'd have to agree. I believe a geek is a great thing (this day and age). I'm really huge in computers and I hope to become "Geek Status" before I hit 30...

Go, Geeks. We are cheering you (how true that is)... on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

In high school (1980-1982) I was a geek. I managed to be on the football team though and I hung out with the band geeks. I also spent a lot of time in Hollywood at the clubs watching bands and it lead to a reputation as a 'cool geek' with a lot of people because I was into the coolest music at the time.

What they didn't know was that if it wasn't for some actually cool frieinds I wouldn't have been there either.

Nowadays I am a very happy geek with a wife and son and a nice house in Burbank. I love being a geek!

Hmm. High school wasn't very kind to me, but my best friend was proud of me being a computer geek because she knew she could rely on me for help as well as everyone else could rely on me also.

At times, I used to hate being a geek, but not anymore! I actually enjoy being a geek because I like being able to talk to other people who really understands the stuff I'm talking about. order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

Yeah Being a geek is a good thing. I was kind of a geek way back in high school myself. Didn't know it until Computers came into the picture. Then everything unfolded AS they say like artwork.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

I was a trouble maker in high school. Most likley classified as an "outcast". Back then, as it's been said, being a geek wasn't a good thing.
Funny how times have changed. "Geeks" are now a fairly well respected group of people. Just look at how many of us are trying to become one!
Ever think there would be "wanna be geeks"?!

1990 geek= looser, nerd, etc...

2003 geek= computer genius, smart...

Go figure!

Don't you wish your corruption was hot like me?

I'm still in school and still a geek. Lets face it, obsessing over a near forgotten 21 year old cult sci-fi movie is sooo geeky, yet way cool. Plus I'm into Ska, geeky?? Geeks are kinda cool nowadays, but I see a lot of poeple actually trying to be geky, the tables turn.

I was a computer geek in high school (mid 80's).

It was frowned upon to be a geek then.

I was a member of the computer club... remember when there used to be such a thing as computer club? Do those things exist in school anymore?

6th though 8th grade, I was in computer club. Nothing wrong in those grades.

Then in high school, well, it was too uncool to be in computer club. But I still was anyway.

I clearly remember not showing up for the computer club yearbook photos anymore after freshman year. Freshman year, when the yearbooks came out and people saw me in with the other computer geeks... well, I took quite a bashing because of that (and other dumb things).

Funny thing... those people who would pick on me about my geekdome back then... they're the same people who seek out my assistance today. Interesting, eh?

I guess that's the true GEEKS REVENCE

He he he

In otherwords, they ate the heads off of living chickens....

Back in grade seven, we were all calling ourselves "geeks" as insults. But then when things got really bad with that, our teacher stopped us and said "Do you know what the real meaning of geek is?" We just looked at eachother confused. Then our teacher told us the definition. Ever since that day, no one in that class ever dared to call eachother geeks.

Computer nerds are however another story. I think the proof is in the pudding for me when it came to that. Our networking professor told a really funny joke (Or at least I thought it was pretty funny) and no one else got it. Why? Because it was a computer joke. My family has yet to leave me alone on that. ^^;;

i consider myself a demi-geek...in both meanings.

1)i know a lot about computers, but not everything...[watch this space ] plus i have glasses, which is a stereotypical geek trademark

2) it's not for exhibition per se, but i have been known to chomp my way through an entire piece of printer paper...so what if i forgot money for lunch
it's actually not that bad once it turns intp pulp.
