I know.... Once the awards was first announced here at Tron sector, I instantly voted for TRON 2.0. I also heard some where it did when (but it could have been from one of the many game mags that I read that held their own awards).
Every mag, tech-tv show, etc... that I have access to, they all said that Matrix sucked (compared to games released durning the time). I played it and I had to agree. It was a really good idea, but didn't go over too well... Max Payne 1 still is a much better game compared to the Matrix and it now has a few years behind it's belt.
Nevertheless, TRON 2.0 should have won the award and (in my own personal view) should have won a few more. I'm a huge FPS fan. I love UT1&2, UT2k3, Classic FPS like Doom and Quake, Half Life, etc... but Tron 2.0 is so much different than the others and is a really huge relief that FPS games still can be raised levels beyond what we use to think.
TRON 2.0 should be know as the FPS savior to those who really didn't care much of the old FPS story in terms of gameplay (run, look, shoot, jump, find the key, find the exit). TRON 2.0 adds (download sub routines, upgrade self, upgrade weapon, find promissions, etc..) and then later (get into the game grid, fathom how awsome that this is the first time you are able to do this EVER, don't get to excited that your in a light cycle, run you enimes into you light wall, survive, light cycles have endless replay value, enjoy).
Need I say more...
Oh... BTW... Did I forget to mention the tanks?
However, GTA: Vice City did great. I'm an 80's fan and that game also has some great replay value if you can surpass the language and sexual content.
I would really love to see a TRON game like GTA: Vice City. You can get Light Cycles, Rec.s, Tanks, do missions and side missions.... That would rock... A fully interactive RPG..order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
