LCD have come a long way. I rememeber viewing some of them when I was working at Insight up here in Canada. And some of them were really nice. You could tell from viewing images and demos on it. And some others were like more of a questionable Joke type of thing. I like them because they have less of a foot print on the table top than the good olds CRT. But I still like the Crts to some extent cause I've been using them since my first XT clone computer in the early 90's. So you get kind of attached to them in some ways.

Eventually the good old CRT will be gone by the way side like Kmon has said. Give it about 5 years. But I wonder now what would replace the LCD screen by then. Retina pixel pusher helmet. Where you can still see what your doing beyond what is actually being displayed on the back of the eye.

To compute or not to compute that is the question at hand. Tis nobler to compile in C++ or in TASM.

Yeah, 22" CRT... my next monitor purchase will be a Viewsonic P225F 22" (20" viewable). They can be had for under $600.00 now from NewEgg. I've got my current monitor, a Viewsonic PS790 19" (18" viewable), connected to my PC via a "Monster Computer Ultra-High Resolution Monitor to PC Using BNC Connection" (High resolution RGB monitor cable with HDB15-to-5 BNC male connectors), and that's how I'm going to connect the 22". I can just imagine TRON 2.0 on a 22". I can't wait!

You know what could be great. Using one of those projectors that you can display it right against a wall with a view of 15-what ever the maximum size is possible right now. Now that would be Awsome and freaky to see on a game like tron.
