I'm having a really hard time with the sniping level. (Protect Ma3a)

Be sure the LOL is at GOLD level
Likely its only Alpha when you began this level unless you optimized it earlier. On this level you will see an optimizer, ignore it. later when you have the permissions go to the bin that has the beta LOL to download. Get it and optimize it to Gold level.
Quick save between rounds of ICP's and keep an eye on the energy levels.

I beat it using an alpha ball launcher with difficulty set to "easy". Splash damage is a wonderful thing for those of us with poor aim. Took out 3 ICPs with one shot. 1) Have the Triangulate subroutine loaded. This will help with your accuracy.
2) Remove any subroutines that use excess energy, like the Corrode subroutine.
3) The ICPs come in waves. Between the waves, go and get energy from the nearby patch routine.
4) The ball primitive actually works pretty well on this level if you've developed accuracy in lobbing it. I still find it easier with the LOL, however.
5) If you still can't get it, send me a private message and I'll give you a couple more hints that will make it easier (no, not cheats - think of them as "game exploits.")

playing at easy level, i got through the sniper bit with only a bta LOL and no triangulate, i'm not boasting, it wasn't that hard. The LOL is pretty accurate at at Alpha level anyway.

My biggest problem with this level was running out of energy on my LOL. Other than that, the sniping itself was pretty easy.
I like the zoom feature in this game where there is basically one "zoomed in" view (unless you have triangulate on). Some games require you to scroll the mouse extensively; I find T2.0's method superior.

Finally! I did it!
It took a lot of practice, and sniping them at the bottom of the incline.
