I launch the app, my screen goes black and I get a BSOD just before it reboots.
I am running Win XP Pro SP1 on a 3.06 GHz P4 with hyperthreading enabled. GForce4 TI4400, 1 GB DDR 333 and a Shuttle SB51G mobo/case. Any help?

Try disabling the Hyper Threading. I've seen instances where games don't play well with them. See how that goes.

Ok, it's not the onboard sound. I just shelled out $130 for an Audigy 2 with the same crash. I'm returning that, but it must be some bug in XP Pro SP1 or something. When you turn off the sound there is all sorts of video weirdness too.... I can run NOLF2 with no problems, what the heck is up with this game?

i had severe crashing problems when i was first getting my AGP 8x card hashed out. Could it be that your AGP speed is set incorrectly? might try putting it at 2x and try killing Antialiasing and all the other goodies in your desktop display menu if they are set. I'm running DX 9.0a. I'll try throttling down my card after work, but it does seem to be a sound related problem...
By the way, thatnks for all the help! I wanna be trotting around in a router too! =P

After browsing the tron20.net newsgroup I found that it is a conflict with lameACM.acm. If you have the nimo codec installed, go to the winnt\system32 directory and delete it and things run fine with EAX and acceleration on.
