So anyway having tried a few codes on the demo version I then tried them on the real version and found the following


Codes entered by pressing letter T on the keyboard. Game pauses and you can enter the codes:

MPGOD: God mode. Note that when you change levels you MAY have to reenter the code. Best way to know it is on is if weapon usage doesn't drain energy. Will also protect you from falls However energy will still be drained to download from archives.

MPARMOR: States you have full armor but you dont have the actual subroutines.....

MPHEALTH: Refills Health

MPENERGY: SOUNDS like it works but no visible effect....

MPKFA: You get ALL THE WEAPONS. They are of course in alpha state and must be optimized. Note: that when the Kernel takes you prisoner and takes your disc to his tower, this code will still let you have the disc. (You still must get it back though) Love that energy claw though...


I have found that the Subroutines to optimize to gold level first are: Y-Axis. Maximum jump power is very useful to have and the other is the Silent Buffer. At Gold level this was very useful when sneaking around to regain my lost disc from the Kernel.

Should you become infected with corruption, immediately access subroutines and pull all NON infected ones out of memory. Then one by one clean the infected ones and place them in memory storage until all others are cleaned or they can get reinfected.

Okay, in doing research and testing for my FAQ, I discovered several more cheats . . . one of which I will share with everyone.

"mpexorbitantamounts" - Increases the size and effect of de-rezzing an opponent. Works in both the demo and full game.

EDIT: Sorry guys . . . I goofed. This cheat actually doesn't work. I imagined it made a difference, probably because I used a cluster disc to de-rezz an opponent.

I dont suppose anyone has a code to either spawn a code optimzier or else give the subroutines in different states of optimization?

Give all Permissions. There are some things I was never able to access due to no permissions...like the assorted game lockers when I was on the grid. I got the one which gave the super cycle but that was part of the plot.

The only build point I've not been able to get by jumping so far was the one on top of the Security Cells early in the game. Ah, the no clipping code. I love to mess with that code all the time because it gives me this interesting layout of the level.

Subroutines to get optimized to gold are:

1. Cluster. At gold level this is a DEADLY weapon.
2. Megahurtz. Put this baby to Gold and then combine it with Cluster. Ive taken down 5 icp's in one explosive shot

3. Y-Axis. This should be the first one you bring to Gold. Maximum jumping power is good though at times you may find you can do a jump routine better by removing the Gold level y-Axis from memory. (Power router level with the moving/disappearing bridge sequences)

4. Fuzzy Signature. This should be the second one you bring to Gold. Maximum Stealth

5. Power block. At Gold this is a lethal defense The blast back will rip an ICP to pieces.
6. Triangulate, Profiler and Virus Scan. A gold Profiler is useful and if you have it at gold level by the time you are on the Recognizer transport level, you can easily locate the elusive permission 8....

7. the LOL. Here's a tip though. When you first get it, it is of course in Alpha state. DO NOT run it thru an optimizer. Instead Optimize the above Sub routines I listed.

The best way to bring LOL to Gold is this: On the Level where you must align the lenses to route power to the old Encom mainframe, you'll find an Optimizer, ignore it for the time being. After you align the lenses you'll then have the permissions to absorb some subroutines from an archive bin, one of these will be the Beta LOL. Now take the Beta LOL you just downloaded and THEN Optimize it. Then at the end of this level you are in possession of a Gold LOL for the sniping you must do to protect MA3A.


When its time to upgrade yourself, after some experimenting, I find now that dumping points into Processor is pointless. If you must port an unknown subroutine, you can do so in battle. Just let it run. If you must decontaminate some infected subroutines, pull all clean ones out and put them into storage and run the infected ones one at time through the decontamination then store them when they are done until all are clean. Just find a nice quiet spot and take as much time as you need to decontaminate

Weapon efficiency is ok but I find its best to dump all upgrades into energy until is maxed then evenly split all future upgrades between health and weapon efficency

I need permissoins to deactivate the forcefield after taking the 2-way ip portal. This is early in the game after the icps have discovered an 'unathorized user'. I can't deactivate the force filed or open the door prior to taking the 2-way portal. sorry if my descriptions are not more specific. Any help would be cool.
