Sweet! My Tron paper back novel just came in today from ebay... Going to read it.

Just thought I would type the neat little story that's on the first page before chapter one even starts... Trace, You'll love this.


THE DEADLYIEST GAME

Sark readied, cast. The pellet rebound from the mirror. The Blue saw that he must leap across the empty space, where his vanished ring had been, in order to make the catch-that, or see another of his rings dissolved. He took a running start.

But the User-Believer had miscalculated; Sark had forseen when he would do in reaction, and played on it. The Blue barely made the leap across the gap. As he teetered on the edge of his ring, the game pellet struck him squarely. The luckless User-Believer exploded in a brief turbulence of de-rezzing.

Sark's laughter was full and chill.

Correction... It's a segment from chapter one... very nice choice to get the reader interested in the novel if they were to glance at the first page.

I've always wondered about that because novelizations seemed to have the stuff that movies are missing nowdays, but I'm curious about what was in it for Tron.

I owned a copy of the novel a long time ago, and still remember some of what was in it. It's a great novelization . . . too bad I lost it.

I remember the part where Flynn, Alan, and Lora were breaking into Encom. Flynn was going on about the badges they wore, to help fool security.

"Bodges? Wee don' neeeed no steenkin' bodges!"

I just recently bought the "Art of TRON" book/storybook. Haven't checked out any of the novels yet. You guys were right about that Art of TRON book, it's a sick one.

The novelization is awesome! After reading it, there were things in the movie that made much more sense. I referred to it A LOT during the production of Tron 2.0.
