And I got to playtest that lovely Tron 2.0 game before it launched as part of a focus group!

So cool. As a long-time

fan, I did my best to give feedback that would help push my biased

agenda; asking for things that I hoped to see in the game based on my observations of Tron visuals and canon over the years ;-) I have a feeling most of my comments mirrored things you and other Tron fans were, internally, probably already advocating for... but it was still my attempt to try and help. There weren't too many noticeable "Tron" aficionados in the focus group, that I could tell anyways, based on surrounding comments, observations, and suggestions.
There's been a void here ever since you, TheReelTodd, and many others left. With the unchecked spam that infiltrated the forum and the lull in news post-Tron Legacy, I also "left". I checked the forum maybe once every year or two, max.
I'm excited to see
Tron: Ares and hope it's good, too! The trailer looks awesome. I got to see some filming location stuff from afar (as general public) when they were doing some filming last year. That was nice!
If this movie is successful, I'm hopeful it can translate to yet another Tron movie and/or a Disney+ series being greenlit shortly thereafter. With the over-saturation of Star Wars and Marvel the past decade or more, it could be good timing for a rise of Tron, if it can translate to $$.
Great memories here of the Tron-Sector days of old, and you were a big part of it. Thanks for all your passion for Tron! And thanks again for helping to make Tron 2.0! The best Tron game ever made. I really wish Disney would use that as a template or strong inspiration for a new Tron game, as opposed to all the strange parkour and other stuff that has been the focus since Tron 2.0. I'm hoping for another true first-person adventure in the Tron universe. With computer graphics as they are now, it could be pretty amazing, too.
It's too bad that a movie with such strong ties to the game world, being 'inside' the computer, and going on an adventure inside that universe, has gotten very little
video game love. The original arcade game and Tron 2.0 are the only Tron games that interest me. And with Monolith being closed down earlier this year, any hopes for them, in particular, to rekindle that Tron 2.0 love is no longer possible. (I realize many of those developers probably moved on within 20 years, but I think it would have been at least nicely symbolic, if nothing else.)
I digress. Welcome back, DaveTRON! Or if it turns out you're just stopping by, then "Greetings, program! Thanks for stopping by!"
