It's finally official! TRON Lightcycle Run from Shanghai will be coming to the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in time for the parks 50th anniversary!

Super excited about this. Interesting that they're adding it in behind the Tomorrowland Speedway, I wonder if it'll affect the train's route, or maybe the train will go through it, that's almost what the concept art looks like. I'm also a bit curious to see how this will affect lines for Space Mountain.

I've said this before and I'll say it again-it's nice to see Disney haven't COMPLETELY forgotten about the franchise then! 
I think since Uprising got cancelled this is probably the biggest major development in the franchise in years (Even though, by the looks of it, it's still quite some way off yet).
Now all we got to do is get Disney to release Uprising on DVD and we MADE!

Not sure how I feel about the location of the ride, I think it could take away from the prominence of Space Mountain. But I'm glad that that side of the park is getting a new thrill ride, especially one themed to Tron. On my last visit I saw the space they were clearing out for the ride, but didn't know what it was at the time.
I really think it is a necessary experience for Tomorrowland.

I was just at the park and there are walls behind Space Mountain but at this time they haven't even started clearing away land yet for the ride @_@
