Bubble gum cards

on Sunday, December, 18, 2011 1:01 PM
Just a question: I used to buy bubble gum cards of many franchises, Star Trek, Star Wars, Lost in Space, Battlestar Galactica (1970s) and so on. Did Tron or Tron Legacy coome out with bubble gum cards? I would love to have set if so. Anyone know the answer?

Forget it, Mr High and Mighty Master Control. You aren't making me talk.

I looked on ebay and couldn't find anything so I don't think so. But as always, google is your friend. Unless of course you don't use google, in which case you could use any search engine. I will still let you know if I find anything!!

Permission to over indulge on info?

I know the original Tron had a set that did come with a stick of gum (I think), stickers and special arcade inserts you could use to record your high scores and get tips on each game.

Fronts had movie stills and the back of each card was a puzzle piece so you could make a bigger version of this image:

I usually see a complete set at reasonalble prices on ebay and such. If it's any consolation I have a complete set of 66 and two unopened packs. Eating the gum not recommended.

I searched for any Legacy cards, appears to be nothing, which is REALLY dissapointing.

There is this . . . I have no idea who made them and how they are autographed . . . convention maybe?

Agreed, actually it's really COOL to see those sorts of things. WOW awesome! I've been lurking on these forums for a long time now and I've seen a lot of really cool stuff over the cycles. The more pics I get to see the better.

Great post thanks for sharing MasterCylinder, I remember seeing those in the store growing up. I might have to hunt down a complete set some day.

If you're in to different packaging, they were also released in mystery packs, that have a generic wrapper and look similar to this:

I have a sealed bag that has a dozen baseball and 11 packs of Tron in "mystery" wrapping.where to buy abortion pill abortion types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Ah yes the old Donruss set. The black cards are notoriously easy to chip, thus condition is really important...and yeah they can be pricey. At least they used to be. I just checked eBay and you can have a full set with stickers for under $20. Not bad actually.

The second set you show above, the "signed" ones are bootlegs - I've seen them before, they're not licensed and they're pre-printed signatures.

AFAIK there was no trading card set for Legacy. Considering the amount of tie-in merchandise it's surprising, but then again movie trading card sets are kind of out of vogue in collecting right now...Topps only does Lucas movies seems like, Upper Deck has a deal with Marvel so they're making sets on Marvel movies...but beyond that, there isn't a whole lot of movie cards lately
