Both have their merits. Flynn's is a classic-and FAST- but its' also persistent so you can't park it, conceal it without attracting attention, or generate it from a baton.. Instead you have to give it away to some Tron City drunk when you make it downtown. Plus it belongs to your dad so you'll have to explain what happened to it and pay to get it back out of impound later. It's rider-enclosed design does protect you from the crappy weather in the Tron universe though....rain and so on.
The baton-generated lightcycle is easier to conceal and it's essentially with you wherever you go, butit's slowrr and it lacks that retro thing that would make it easy to pick up the chicks with. Plus it doesn't scream I AM THE SON OF FLYNN ON A MISSION TO MEET ZUZE! the way the retro bike does. It's probably not going to be traced to it's pontt of origin.
Personally I'd go with the new bike if I were in Sam's place. I don't need to pick up chicks on such a misison, and the point is to "make it there alive" after all. Better to keep it low-key. Plus the new bike kicks a lot of ass on it's own, too. And you're not encouraging drunk driving by giving away to some progam lush down on his luck
Sooo........what does the room say?

Also if you don't actually have a baton of your own. Kinda limits your options.
In most cases I'd prefer to take my own vehicle... but... this is a special situation.
If *I* had the lightcycle version of a '69 Camaro... sorry, no question there whatsoever for me either!abortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

And remember what Quorra said; "Their vehicles aren't designed to go off grid. They'll not function on this terrain". So Sam couldn't have used a lightcycle from a baton on his way back to Tron City. Flynn's one was solid so it wouldn't drezz from low power.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

Flynn's, as yours was destroyed on the Grid (and even if it wasn't, the fact that you're off-grid pretty much makes your Lightcycle from your batton useless, as it is not made to run off-grid).abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I would choose a baton Lightcycle because that way you could derezz it & not have to pay at the parking meter!
Also, what if you pull up outside a hotel & there was a VALET waiting? You could say to him "Take care of this please" and he would say "Yes sir!" and derez it and simply put it in his POCKET!

You wouldn't need a Valet if you had a baton.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill online

The argument is settled by Quorra's statement and the question is therefore moot anyhow: The baton cycles are powered by the Grid itself. Flynn's is not, so the grid cycles could not possibly operate in the outlands.

I'd take my own (generated from a baton). I'm assuming that there is some possibility of customizing your own lightcycle, so I'd rather have my own custom lightcycle that I can de/re-rezz whenever I want as opposed to a persistent one with very little room for customization.
While Flynn's is very fast (and in the case of Tron Evolution: Battle Grids, extremely unbalanced), it also has a closed canopy, making it impossible to use your disc for offensive/defensive purposes while driving. The vehicle's persistent nature also makes it difficult to easily switch from riding the cycle to going on foot in high-speed situations.
Then again, Flynn's cycle looks freaking awesome. I'll take both.

I'll play any mode, but I'm best at LC.

Tough.
Flynn's bike is a beauty, but not only is a baton cycle more conveinient, but like Tron.dll said, there is that customization factor.
Clu's bike had twin engines on it. That's an excellent reason right there. The possibilities are endless.
Plus, You can be creative with the baton as well. I drew this sketch once where a program had a baton/handlebar mechanism launcher built onto the armor of his fore arms. Basically, these elongated handle bars for the cycle would flip out and create elongated handles while connected to the baton, as it rezzes the cycle.
