Same bits of dialouge kept popping up...
In TRON? Flynn says "This is it, come on..." during the lightcycle scene where he aims his cycle for the crack in the wall
In T:L? Sam says "This is it, come on..." as he prepares to face Clu head on while on lightcycles
In TRON? Before Flynn is sent into the games, MCP tells Sark that "He's different..."
In T:L? Before sending Sam off to the games the one siren tells the other one "He's different..."

I was thinking it was Ram who told Tron that Flynn was different and then equated that with the Siren saying the same thing.

I rewatched T:L recently and noticed a couple of additional things. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned, but I just spotted this.
Sam not only had two of the new Lightcycle models in his room, but he has a third model. When you see the shot of Flynn getting on his bike and taking off through the window, just below the frame, you can see another Lightcycle model. This Lightcycle model is of the original TRON lightcycle design. And it happens to be orange in color, the same lightcycle that Flynn piloted in the the first film.

Maybe he was suppose to be the same age as Jeff Bridges was, as the director of T:L chose to use Jeff Bridge's appearance in the film Against All Odds as the basis for how Flynn and CLU was suppose to look like in 1989.
Sam, from what I've gathered, was born sometime after the events of the original TRON film, making him 27 in T:L (as Flynn told Quorra his age during the dinner scene).
Here's another thing: We've all asked about how long the server has been running without any interruptions of power. After rewatching it again, the door outside the room where the server and laser is located states, "Power Substation", indicating that the room is/was a power substation, which may account for why the server is still running when the main Arcade's power box was switched off. Right, I knew Sam was 27 in T:L. I just wasn't sure if there was anything anywhere that said how old Flynn/Alan/Lora were in the original and I thought maybe they were easter-egging Sam as the same age Flynn was supposed to be the first time HE went into the Grid.
