Lion King 3D this Friday...Time Extended

on Monday, September, 12, 2011 10:33 AM
Let's make sure we show support for the re-release of The Lion King, in 3D, this weekend. Tell your friends and foes about this one. I hear the stampede scene is jaw dropping. Remember, Tron was on the list of movie to be converted to 3D. If this release does well, who knows, we may see the original GRID like never before.

Lion King 3D now at $70 million world wide. Even the Disney execs are stunned. It's run, as I predicted, has been extended. Go Disney.

Fantastic! I am so happy that this re-release is doing so well.

I think Disney has been surprised by how successful it has been, considering it has already be re-issued several times in theatres. Add to this the fact most people who have seen, or wanted to see it, own it already on tape or disc...and it is a stunning acheivement.

But then again..this is Disney's 'The Lion King' we are talking about here...a film that already has had a amazing life span.

I hope this 'surprise' success of this re-release will encourage Disney to reissue other releases of their better animated classics. 'TLK' proves that the public will pay to see these animated films again...even if they own them already....so i hope to see a much missed trend begin again of Disney re-releasing it's animated films in theatres.

Movies as great as 'The Lion King' really need to be seen on the big screen!

The currant 3D edition is stunning. The picture quality is fantastic, the colors are brighter, and the 3D effect adds atmosphere and slight dimention to the picture which is a nice plus on a already steller animated effort. I highly recommend going to see this....it really is like seeing a better movie almost!

Big win for Disney here.....i hope they see the light and start re-issueing more from their past.

I agree. There are SO many scenes that are just amazing. This re-release has been a surprise to all in the industry.

Disney, here is what you need to do. Choose a film, for 3D conversion, that had an ok showing, but has a large following like say....Tron. If it does well, and I promise it will, then you have your test bed. The FanBoys will fill the theaters. Let's show the industry that The Lion King 3D was no fluke.

Actual numbers from Box Office Mojo.

$78.9 million worldwide, as of 9/26/2011

Not bad, assuming a 3D conversion cost of $10 million.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill
