If the portal is where Flynn used ot get in and out, how come Sam gets in through his arcade?

Okay so the portal is the door to the Tron universe, so that's where Flynn gets in and out back in the days when he was free to do so, right? And it's way out there past the Sea of Simulation so no errant programs manage to access it and slip out. Yet when Sam makes it in, he shows up in his pop's counterpart Tron-universe arcade which happens to be smack in the middle of Tron City or so it would seem. What gives? Shouldn't he have shown up at the portal to begin with and isn't that why the portal, 60 miles from the city, was re-opened in the first place?

And I can tell you as a former locksmith, unlike how Flynn describes it, a safe can be opened from the inside and in fact it's easier to do so than from the outside if you happen to be locked in it with something as simple as a screwdriver. Why do you think Houdini worked at a safe factory and then went on to escape from so many safes as part of his act later on? That's where he learned how easy it is to break OUT of a safe. Getting into one is the hard part.

Because you can only enter the grid through Flynn's Arcade. The laser had to be activated which turned the portal on and opened the door into the grid.

A user can only enter the grid by turning it on from Sam's side and once it is opened then programs on the other side can go through the portal

I think I got that right. If I didn't my bad.order abortion pill morning after pill price where to buy abortion pill

It does beg the question, given how monumental the whole portal beam and everything is, what did it looked like in Tron city when a user rezzed in at the arcade.

Maybe the arcade was the initial way for Flynn to get in, and not out so programs couldn't sneak out via the arcade, One Way, you know? Then he built the portal which was a two way gateway, thus he built it where most programs couldn't go.

Because the arcade was the secret 'back door' inside Tron City. Take a look how Sam typed in 'Back Door' on the 'Dillinger Desk' in the basement. That activated the 'back door' portal and he did'nt realize it.

Flynn Sr, on the other hand, must've used the primary portal outside of Tron City, not within. But the 'back door' was his emergency entrance, just in case.

It makes sense to do that under Clu's nose. where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

Yeah, but when he typed in "backdoor" didn't it say "system not found" or something that suggested that it didn't work? Or am I remembering something incorrectly?

I had just assumed the arcade was "way in" for ease of use, and the portal was "way out" to be remote. (How did Flynn ever get there before, anyway? The movie suggests the solar sailer wasn't the original way, if Flynn has to have that idea right before they go. Light jet?)

What do you want? I'm busy.

Program, please!

When Flynn came into the Grid, the portal lit up so all programs knew the Creator was there. If he had to come in through the Arcade, would the Sea portal light up? Just wondering as I don't know.

This shows what appeared when Sam typed backdoor. Now what I find odd is it says logging in with home. Home?

Maybe that's why I assumed the backdoor didn't work. Because it looked like it said there was no backdoor, so it was logging in with the standard directory instead (in Unix, think of "home" as being one of your main directories; it's where you'll find all your user stuff like documents, desktop, etc.. So on my computer, I have /home/Kat/documents, for example, and that's the file path to my documents folder, as opposed to a Windows machine which would be, say, C:\mydocuments or something.)

Explained here: http://www.freeos.com/articles/3102/

It explains the home directory on page 3:

/home - Linux is a multi-user environment so each user is also assigned a
specific directory which is accessible only to them and the system
administrator. These are the user home directories, which can be found
under /home/username. This directory also contains the user specific
settings for programs like IRC, X etc.
