I've noticed there are two (2) version of discs of tron for MAME, dotron.zip and dotrone.zip, the "e" standing for environmental (which i thought had the 3D background in it). However, i have both files, they both load in MAME, but they seem to be the same. Both have speech, but no background, only black. Is there a ROM for MAME that has the city-like atmosphere like the real arcade game itself?

yeah there is. THe backgrounds on the original machines are not part of the programing, but attached to the back of the screen. You shoud be able to download the background file off MAME and attach it to the file which will then display it like the regular DOT machine. Just have to search fot the image file.

Just go to the bottom of the page. Ya can't miss it.

hmm ya ive gotten the artwork and images and still nothing working with MAME, when i play the game there is no background. Ive placed the files in the artwork and images folder just to be safe. Any other help bro?
