I know they were a supposed Walmart exclusive but which did they release? It seems most of the ones I'm running across have an error where the top of the box reads "Deluxe Light Cycle: Sam Flynn" and the background is greenish. I've only run across a few "correct" versions with "Deluxe Light Cycle: CLU" and with the yellow background. Which did Walmart sell? Which Deluxe Light Cycle is rarer?

My understanding is that they're all mislabelled at the top - mine is and all the ones I've seen....

Even on eBay, I've seen a Clu Light Cycle withOUT the error (series 1, not that I think there was a series 2 for it). For those that purchased the error versions, where did you get them from? Anyone have the correct version?

While I've never seen it in the wild, I have seen pictures of the corrected one with the CLU on top and the yellow background for the cycle. I'm not much into variation hunting like that, so I've never bothered to track it down, but I suppose you could probably find one on eBay still from time to time. I would imagine that it's just plain luck of the draw with where you would find it, because it probably just randomly shipped to the stores and was liquidated at random as well, so you could potentially get lucky and find it at either Walmart or ROSS would be my guess.

I'd say you're more likely to find one at Ross, since I don't think any of the fixed ones reached the Walmart shelves before they stopped selling the line (since it appears that Walmart clearanced these nationwide after Xmas and never restocked).

Thanks for the info! I found the no error Clu Deluxe Light Cycle at Ross for $9.99 + tax.
I just like having my collection complete and perfect.

So there is a 'no-error' Clu lightcycle box? Can you post a pic?
Might have to check out my Ross again, the one I got there was definitely an 'error' box.

Looks like later shipments had them. They are non-existent around me.
