Okay, first post here, please excuse me if this kind of thing has been asked a million times.
I read an article about elecTRONica at MiceAge.com where they were saying Disney was disappointed by the performance.
"The decision to extend elecTRONica through the summer is also turning out to be a good decision financially, even though the movie disappointed Burbank at the box office"
Is there any basis to this quote from them, or is this guy pulling stuff out of his output port? Has there been any real solid proof of any reaction at all from Disney? Honestly, you'd think $400 million + moichendising profits + top selling Blu-Ray would equal success.
I just hate hearing people quoting that the movie "failed" financially with greater box office than Star Trek and many other modern movies that are getting sequels. Usually the same kind who say the original Tron was a financial disaster (it wasn't, just not a crazy moneymaker at the time).
Anyone?

It annoys me too, but not nearly as much as others are annoyed by it. As long as Disney themselves don't see the film as a financial failure, we're good. Let the haters hate. It's obvious Disney was fine with the movie's revenue, or we wouldn't be getting an animated TV show or a greenlit sequel.
Don't feed trolls, either- alot of people are going to call the movie a failure just to get on our nerves. Have you ever seen those people who go, "STAR WARZ WUZ TOTLY NOT SCUZSESFUL111!!!11!!1!!1!" which is pathetic enough- then when you see SW fans who write these walls of texts with the purpose of convincing this troll that Star Wars makes money, well... that's even more pathetic. on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Awww now I wish I had the money to go to Dizzyland this summer.
Transformers 2 made boucoup bucks even while it was hacked on, deservedly so, and it made millions. I think some people just want T:L to be a failure so if they say it enough, people will believe it was.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Unless a film makes back 3-4x it's production cost in ticket sales alone, the pencil pushers at the big studios will be disappointed.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Don't they realize most films don't do what Titanic or Avatar did. It's just too much to ask of big budget films. Smaller ones do better because of their low budgets. Paranormal activity, as example.

It didn't sell well in Burbank? The whole town didn't like it, so ElecTRONica doesn't deserve to continue? When does Burbank account for what Disneyland does?
It seems like they made that out of thin air. Legacy did really well for it's time of year, and grossed a ton after worldwide was calculated. I like the miceage website, but I'm dissapointed about this.
I think the bashing is coming from that fact that most people are tired of the sequel/remake thing, so they immediately critisize it without considering how different it was, or whether the fans were happy etc.

It is very hard to find information on what Disney thinks. I do know that "Mars needs moms" has really hurt disney. So
much so, they have shut down their "motion capture" studio, with a loss of 430 employees. They have also halted production on Robert Zemeckis' other movie, a remake of Yellow Submarine (1968). It looks like Disney will write off about $230 Mil.. One good note, is revenues from Tangled and Tron: Legacy's overseas Blu-Ray sales have helped offset Disney's losses, easing the pain. Disney can't be too unhappy with Tron: Legacy's revenues. I know they were expecting more, at least $500 Mil. Worldwide, but I also know they also prepairing for a write off loss as well. Looks to me like they've done well. Can't wait to find Legacy's international Blu-Ray numbers. I want to see what Disney sees.

Movies just don't do well as a whole, not like they used to. I really hope that T:L does good enough for them to keep doing movies, as I think they have a lot of cool possibilities to explore if more movies are made where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion End of Line.
