I didn't realize it until watching the movie again (Am I in the teens yet? Must be close, but anyway...)
At the end, Sam AND Quorra BOTH used Flynns disc to return to the real world. Quorra hands Sam the disc and he uses it and you see on his back there is no disc. That means he didn't get the first disc back (his) that he threw at Rinzler during his Quorra rescue attempt.
Or am I wrong on this.
If not this makes me wonder if any disc can get you out, or if Flynns was very special because he was a user, and the creator.
Where did Sam's disc go? Could it be used if there was something special having been put on a user vs program.

You're wrong on this. Sam got his disc back. He used both his and his father's discs for him and Quorra to leave the system (in fact, you can see that Sam's disc is on him after CLU knocks his father down, and on him as he punches CLU before CLU throws him). Sam removes his disc after being thrown by CLU (after Quorra uses the grappling hook to swing around, landing and deploying the light baton). He has it in his hand the whole time as Quorra moves him towards the data stream for the portal. After Quorra hands Sam his father's disc, he holds both of them up (one on top of the other) and the data stream takes them both.
So, Sam did not lose his ID Disc (some people thought he did when he threw his and his father's disc at Rinzler in the command center of CLU's carrier, but that's not correct. Sam threw his father's disc first, which returned, and then threw his second, which Rinzler deflected it and Quorra used the distraction to get back on her feet).

I still am not really sure why one needs one's disc to get out, anyway...
What do you want? I'm busy.
Program, please!
Chaos.... good news. |

Well, I assume that for Users, they have some sort of special coding that would allow the holder of the disc to exit out (if Flynn, Sam and Quorra had exited out without CLU being there, then the highest coding, which would be Flynn's disc, would have allowed Quorra special privileges to exit the system along with Sam and Flynn). I think that's why CLU needed Flynn's disc, because if he used it, along with a handful of programs, it would have allowed him and them to exit out, and allow them to use to laser to get more out of the system (of course, CLU probably figured out how to pull it off such an action.where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill online

Maybe it just makes things easier. Like you can still get in your house without a key, but its easier if you have a key.
