Like many of us who were ridiculiusly excited I got all of the series 1 figures as soon as I could (I actually pre-ordered months in advance) But I'm curious is there any point in purchasing the reissued versions of the figures in series 2? What makes them different from series 1? aside from Clu having a more accurate paint job for his circuitry ?

A few of the diecast have different front packaging - if you are into that sort of thing...

I've heard series 2 Sam has a lighter colored, more accurate circuitry, but I don't have a series 1 Sam to compare for myself. I have series 1 and 2 Black Guards and there doesn't seem to be any discernible difference. Series 1 Rinzler's batons attach to his legs better than series 2 because both Rinzler's have L shaped pegs on the legs, but series 1 has L shaped holes on the batons whereas series 2 the batons have rectangular holes.

This change happened about halfway through Series 1.
I've noted no differences between the S1 vs. S2 Sam.
