From the article:
"I spent a half year writing software art to generate special effects for Tron Legacy, working at Digital Domain with Bradley "GMUNK" Munkowitz, Jake Sargeant, and David "dlew" Lewandowski. This page has taken a long time to be published because I've had to await clearance."
[ Note: I am not the writer, I am only linking to the article, sorry for the confusion]

That is pretty freaking cool! Thanks for sharing!
I love this kind of behind the scenes stuff when it comes to tech/computers in movies.

That effect at the portal finale... did that make it into the film? For some reason I can't picture it now and I doubt I would've forgotten an image that cool. Or did it just happen so fast that it was hard to see?where to buy abortion pill ordering abortion pills to be shipped to house buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

On Gawker? Oh great :/. We need to give Clu a phone call and have him knock Gawker out so WE can see that site. |

Maybe Google Cache can be an alternate if the original is fail whale'd?

not working for me either.
just great.
this film has been kinda frustrating for me, i enjoy the production art book
but i'm pretty ticked there wasn't one to cover the actual production of the film.
cinefx only covered so much and gave the same tired promo pics, same with the online articles with exception of digital domain's mini-site for the film.
i hope the film gets some coverage on the foundry's site because the compositing features they did on iron man 2 and other films were just amazingly detailed.
EDIT: took a couple tries but it loaded. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED TO SEE.
amazing and fantastic for a low-end fx dork like myself.

Try Firefox. It takes a while to load and I suspect they're on a semi-private sever. It's a great blog. |

I finally got the link to work! Fantastic article, ChessMess! You and the rest of the team did an outstanding job! That is truly some incredible work! Some of those images would make incredible screensavers and signature images! May we have your permission to use them in that manner?

ChessMess, you are a GOD. I don't understand about 90% of what you wrote about, but the results speak for themselves. I also cringe at all of the too-slick tech on TV and in movies, so it was great to see realistic and yet still cool readouts on the screens.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill

Nice work, indeed. I agree that realtime game development's art pipeline follows closely with cinema FX.
the use of "hacker" scenes in most movies are quite funny. However, to the general populace, the techno jargon and flashing lights manages to keep us entertained. I do appreciate when a director actually takes the time to pay attention to those small details rather than gloss over them.

It was cool watching the movie again after having read about how some of the effects were made.
I kind of wish they would open source the code so that we could run them on our own machines (and mod them to create variations).
