sorry about the blur. this was from my dvdrip so the
resolution was not so great. the scene where clu was
scanning sam's disk occupied only a very small portion of
the screen.

it does show a lot of memories from the real-world were
stored in the disk, we can see marvin the dog, the bike
weaving thru the streets, the keys hanging from the door
of flynn's secret lab, pictures of sam as a kid etc.

actually the ducati weaving thru the streets made me wonder
if the disk stores muscle memory. gymnasts doing flips are
familiar with muscle memory. the process of touch typing
is also muscle memory.

another example is one of the characters of the tv series

i've always wondered why clu was choosing to look
into images of sam's real-world. i was fully expecting
clu to concentrate on sam's grid memories. was clu
looking for something particular or just being methodical?

also it was too bad clu had his back turned. it would
have been nice to see if rinzler changes body language at the
sight of allan bradley's holographic head.

i think maybe Clu was simply expecting someone, like Allen, with technical know-how to be able to get him out of there. In his mind, maybe Sam was useless towards his objective, so he decides to get rid of him.

you gotta remember, the only user Clu's ever met is Flynn, extremely tech savvy. Imagine if Aan had actually been the one to go to the grid. Clu probably wouldve shit a brick.

I keep looking online for a script but can't find one. We obviously have different levels of sound systems and don't alway agree to what is being said. I live in an apartment and don't want to turn up the volume too loud.

And why would Clu say "Got it"? I thought he had said "not it" referring to the disk not being Flynn's. For all he knew, Sam had been with Flynn before he was discovered.


Edited: Ok I just turned the volume up loud, hoping everyone else is at church. He does say "got it" but I still ask, why? what was he referring to? Got what?

He doesn't even use the right intonation for it to be "not it" in the negative.

I too assumed everyone associated "Flynn." In my fanfic, Rinzler hears Sam state his name and: Flynn was a name he knew. He had heard it enough times. He knew the story as well as anyone... ... So...here was a User who had something to do with that exiled coward. How very interesting.
