Sam's Disc - Why Did It Display Info from the Real World?

on Sunday, April, 17, 2011 9:05 AM
One thing about Sam's disc that made me wonder, is that when Clu takes it and looks at the information, it shows images from before Sam was even brought into the computer world.

If a Disc stores everything you do or learn, how in the world did Sam's show things that happened before he received the disc.

My only way to explain it that sounds reasonable is that it also stores anything the bearer 'Thinks' about.

Sound plausible?where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill onlineabortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

Right. It obviously "syncs" with him somehow...the scene makes it pretty obvious that it taps into some organic system in his body.

However, as I asked last time we talked about this...what memories does it access? Is there somewhere in the human brain that a memory of everything that has ever happened to us is stored accurately? Because otherwise a disc would be highly inaccurate, if it only has access to the memory WE know...rarely accurate, nor complete... so in other words, any disc info that merely pulls from a person's real-world memories will NOT be reliable. (Maybe this explains why Clu does, or perhaps CAN, only look at very recent memories.)

and, of course...does your disc re-sync with your memory every time you come back to the Grid after being in the real world? it must, right?

What do you want? I'm busy.

Program, please!

Chaos.... good news.

I think it only recalls recent memories, as one of the things shown happens to be of Alan telling Sam about the pager. And, it actually makes sense, as Sam recently received the ID disc. It harkens back to the first TRON, where Sark explains the ID disc, saying "You will receive an identity disc. Everything you learn will be imprinted on this disc." Basically, the ID discs are set to learn and recall recent information.
